They literally got one of the best beaches, cactus, chicken and now, the coffee in the world! Really amazing that, a small tropical island (relatively) could contained so much astonishing things! And, the street that you have just passed by, also remind me some old streets or towns in my homeland. For instance, like Melaka Jonker Street, KL Petaling Street, Penang island Georgetown and etc. 🥰

I love coffee, though I also love tea, all sorts of tea. My daughter started drinking coffee at the age of 4. I've been told it's not good for children so young, but nevertheless she grew up and is now 15 years old and loving black coffee like myself. And I mean black totally, no sugar. After years of drinking black coffee I find that black coffee without sugar is sweet.

Given the South East Asian influence, I wonder if there's a local version of something like a sambal to pair with the fish balls or if they have something like an ayam goreng using the local chickens from the other videos in the Hainan series~ And, everyone in this video seemed so peaceful and relaxed-especially the woman picking the coffee beans!

There was a small village in Hainan Island, the villager were from Indonesia, they were expelled from Indonesia during the turbulent rears of Sukanrno era (1950-1960), they still cook and eat Java cuisine of Indonesia.

@@jupplut6159 That's cool to know! My sister--in--law is Indonesian Chinese and is descended from Chinese who lived in Java and Bali~ Her family makes nastar for my family every now and then as well as gave us the most delicious homemade ayam goreng (except using a Cornish game hen) accompanied with homemade kremes and sambal terasi.

@theotheleo6830 Жыл бұрын
I don't drink sweetened coffee, so for me, the bitter flavor of the coffee goes well with the sweetness of the cake. The fishballs will be out of place.
