I’ve used this system for a awhile and like it a lot. You get a lot and the cleanup is minimal. Couple of suggestions: pre-ground coffee works fine. As long as it’s fresh, most coffee nuance is lost in a cold brew method especially if you’re adding milk or sweetener. Second, I do it on the counter for maybe 24 hours or so. If you make it strong, you get more uses. Third, mine didn’t come with that pour handle thing. A regular old bottle, with the coffee funneled in should work as well. Or another pitcher. Fourth, fill with grounds leaving about an inch from the top. Put the top on. This will prevent the grounds on top from drying out and leave you a little room to add more water later if necessary. Nice vid on a good product.

This may be a newb question but how do you clean the filter without washing a bunch of grounds down the drain? Even after dumping in the trash I find a lot sticks to the strainer.

Not JUST coffee of choice - the grind needs to be course ground, like for a french press. Otherwise the grinds can create sludge if they are too fine or even regular. Just FYI. Also, cold brew is usually a strong brew to be diluted. Though you are using less coffee than I've heard. (I thought it was 2 1/2 cups of beans before grinding, 2 1/2 cups of water. Then DILUTE with between a half or whole cup of additional water into your finished brew before drinking. Up to you but should be diluted. That's why it would last for two weeks, but you didn't mention making it a concentrate.

In all other reviews they said to grind your own coffee but you didn't mention it. Did you ever have a problem using preground coffee?

Thanks for watching! I have used both and I never had a problem using pre-ground and it’s more convenient
