I never understood Andy's character. At first we meet him we are led to believe that he is a serious and competent salesperson. When the Stamford branch is shut down he is selected to stay on and transfer to Scranton. You don't think only transfer the best. When he shows up they set him up a rival to Dwight for the number two spot in leadership. Yet as his character ages he becomes one of the worst salesmen in the office. He goes from a person with anger issues, who fanatical about call of duty and punches holes in walls to a wimp who is afraid of physical conflict with Dwight. It is sad that to keep this show running they had to dumb down the characters and turn them into clowns.
