This is so fascinating, thanks for putting it together! I was interested in just how much higher Rebeca's E scores were than Simone's, though Simone's are still incredible of course! The other interesting takeaway was to see that, if you add the D to the E as a measure of potential, the order is Simone and Rebeca by a mile, but then the order is: Jess Gadirova 3rd (57.099), Melanie 4th (56.933), Shilese 5th (56.764)! The three of them are neck-and-neck really, with Shilese having only a tenth of difficulty over Jess, and Melanie having the superior execution to make up for slightly lower difficulty. Makes me even more sad about Jess's ankle. I would have loved to see the matchup between her and Shilese in Paris. Fingers crossed that Melanie's confidence and consistency keep growing and she can make it a battle with Shilese! In case people want the full rundown of best E plus D AA: 1st - Simone 59.532 2nd - Rebeca 58.849 3rd - Jess G. 57.099 4th - Melanie 56.933 5th - Shilese 56.764 6th - Manila 55.866 7th - Flavia 55.765 8th - Kayla 55.466 9th - Ou Yushan 55.332 8th - Alice 55.182 9th - Zhang Jin 55.099 10th - Eythora 54.399 One last note - Kayla's difficulty at the recent Winter Cup was exactly one point higher than her D score total from last year! Assuming that all of the connection and skill credits hold up internationally (which is a big if of course) that added difficulty moves her potential up to 56.466, in 6th place on this list, just a few tenths behind shilese!

super informative video thank you! if i were a coach, i would be using this as a resource. or i would have my own dataset ideally. and then try to compare the differential between max d-score and max e-score and see who's in range of striking distance. cuz essentially simone has a combined 0.7 lead if her and rebeca are both at their max. but we'll see how this year pans out :)

Não confundam esse resultado com quem é a maior. Ninguém duvida que Simone é a GOT. Mas de fato a Rebeca hoje é a melhor ginasta com E-Score (execução) do mundo. Mas só o fato de a Simone que é a melhor ginasta em D-Score (Dificuldade) ser a segunda melhor em E-Score (Execução), já diz sobre quem é melhor. Para nós brasileiros só o fato de poder pensar em estar perto da maior de todos os tempos (opinião minha e de 90% do mundo kk) já é um orgulho imenso. Rebeca a Rainha do Brasil, e sem dúvidas a segunda melhor ginasta da atualidade. Que venha as Olímpias e que venha muitas medalhas para o nisso continente Americano. (Tradução) Do not confuse this result with who is the greatest. Nobody doubts that Simone is GOT. But in fact, Rebeca is today the best gymnast with an E-Score (execution) in the world. But just the fact that Simone, who is the best gymnast in D-Score (Difficulty) is the second best in E-Score (Execution), already tells us who is better. Olha, precisamos considerar que a Simone só teve as notas do mundial aqui e que foram usadas notas de apresentações distintas. Se a gnt pega o melhor AA da Biles com o melhor da Rebeca no ano passado (elas na final por equipes), a Biles teve quase 0.9 a mais em execução.

@@gymnasticfan9148 sim sim , quando disse que a rebeca é a melhor E Score do mundo, não estava me referindo da história, mas sim da atualidade ou seja deste último ano que passou até aqui 2023. Por isso no meu comentário anterior usei a palavra HOJE. Afinal pelo que entendi você estava destacando as melhores notas das competições internacionais de 2023. Se formos comparar anos anteriores para avaliar quem é a melhor fica sem sentido visto que Simone está a mais de 10 anos competindo sem lesões sérias, e Rebeca ficou anos fora com 3 cirurgias, para mim isso é o incrível, alguém com 3 cirurgias ficou no ano de 2023 com um E-score maior que a Melhor de todos os tempos. Claro Simone também está voltando agora. Mas novamente ninguém está dizendo que rebeca é a melhor ginasta do mundo. Afinal estamos falando de Simone. O fato dela não ter sido o melhor E-Score em apenas um ano de competição não significa que ela não seja a GOT, a final ela simplismente ganhou tudo como sempre. Mas muito obrigado pelo vídeo, e parabéns pelo ótimo trabalho que não tenho dúvidas deu trabalho para fazer esses vídeos.

@ticfan9148 This is the essence of what we ought to glean from this and similar videos. Personally, including E-Scores from ANY and ALL competitions says little except how the judges at these different competitions deemed how well each individual executed THEIR INDIVIDUAL routines which are often times (especially in Simone's case) carry a great difference in difficulty to another routine.

@@Suezo15 Na final por equipes foi a melhor performance de AA da Rebeca e também foi da Simone, a diferença é q a Rebeca não foi muito bem na trave, enquanto a Simone acertou tudo, por isso a diferença de 0.9

Simone is number 1 here. Simone did worlds and that was it. Everyone else had multiple competitions, and truthfully- Simone’s floor was so underscored, and so was her beam. Andrade is incredible, but she does not stack up to Simone on beam or floor.

I agree that Simone is NO.1 but not because of the E-scores per se because the scores are given to how well the judges deemed that YOU performed YOUR routine. The reason why I say Simone is queen is because SIMONE's routines are of the HIGHEST difficulty rating and are performed at such a great execution level. There is NO WAY another WAG could hope to compete as difficult a routine as Simone does on floor and beam in particular and get the same execution marks. That is why she is the queen.
