I'd like to see a variation of a budget build. Instead of having a total budget of X amount and having to buy around that, I'd like to see budget challenges where you're limited to a max amount PER ITEM of your edc. Like only being able to spend $35 on a knife, $35 on a pen, $35 a wallet, etc.

I’ve had a Chums wallet for over a year now and I love it. I used to carry a leather card wallet, but I switched to the chums to carry cash, an AirTag, and all my cards.

I have the Chums wallet too. Best wallet/EDC pouch I've ever had! ID/cards on the window side, and a complete EDC set on the other side- Bic mini, Boruit V3 flashlight, Leatherman Squirt, victorinox nail clippers, pin, and O'keeffe's lip balm.

Started carrying the Buck 722 about a month ago, and I love it. It did take me a little bit to get used to it, last few knives have been flippers or assisted, but I wouldn't trade this one in for any of them. Super slim and great for the pocket.

I have the Nebo mini Larry 500 it was $25 I recommend it over the Franklin. It has a side work light instead of the 90.. the clip is higher up and you can single click in any mode after 8 seconds to turn off. A lot smaller. And same building quality..

What about walmart? They have some cool looking knives, Buck knives, and even a powerpint, erasable pens. Wallets and watches could use some tlc at mine but who knows.

Love Chums bags, they have lasted for many years, no fail, not junk. I have one as a wallet for like 8 years now. I use them to put my gear in. Nightcore NU 25 headlamp new and old models with shock cord fit perfect. Back up batteries, cords for my Olites fit perfect plus other small cords, memory cards, mini back up drives, etc. I made a sewing/repair kit in one, a fire kit and small medication/medical kits in them. I like the Gerber Dime has come in handy. Prefer Leatherman though.

@@vincentferreira1135 the EDC would consist of a kitchen knife or crappy box cutter, a dim flashlight, a off brand Bic lighter probably no wallet or if they have one a bad designed one and maybe some sort of multi bit screwdriver or cheap pliers for a tool. They might have some multi function pen like in the video but even cheaper but idk.

I have a few of the hero clips. It always surprises me how useful they are. And I can see how this magnetic 90 deg light can come in handy (I just changed an alternator in my wife’s Honda Pilot and dropped a tool - twice. In my opinion an alternator has no business being mounted below the engine block. I ended up attaching a carabiner to a light and hanging for some proper lumens down below and I did find my wrench and socket 😂.) Any luck going to an Ace Hardware to build an EDC kit?

I can confirm a Gerber dime is incredible. The powerpint is also great but for $25 the dime is incredible. And with the gerber warranty if it ever breaks you can get a free replacement. I've already had to do this when the spring for my scizzors broke. Quick and easy. I don't love most of gerbers stuff but the dime is great. Also id love to see more of these. My edc is budget based. Even though i do have nicer knives and stuff, i like carrying cheap carries. One of my favorite carries is only about $150 and that's if you carry the extra stuff that i didn't usually carry, mostly a pen and lighter. Cjrb hectare, zebra pen, gerber dime, knockoff ridge wallet (actually way better than you'd think) rovyvon a1, timex expedition scout. Civivi mini praxis is also good if you want even cheaper. I own better stuff, but for most days there's no reason to carry anything Else. And if you want a box cutter knife i recommend I found on Amazon for $10. Is a little different than the one shown in this video. I also like the Walmart hart box mini cutters

I don’t know if y’all have one in Charlotte but you should do a Sportsmans warehouse EDC. Its a niche use, but my mom does use a stylus sometimes. If I had kids, she would be grandma age... 🤣 She's got Raynaud's, where her fingers lose circulation and feeling. Sometimes her phone screen wont recognize her fingers touching the screen, so she uses a stylus.

Hero Clip is AWESOME! ... I have one on my pack and I recommend it to my friends
@onebrightgator9 ай бұрын
Chums wallet is great. I use it travelling when the only actual key I need is my car key and it slips right in that outside pocket. I did switch out the key ring for a small carabiner and that works better for my needs. The hero clip is overpriced by double. The slidewinder is a great concept but seems to suffer from poor execution. The blade issues are widely known, the button system is too big and clunky and the build quality isn't there. I'd pay double for one without the blade issues and higher build quality. The idea of using it as a key dangler is intriguing but I can't get over the over issues. A Screwpop with a Gerber mullet is a better solution for this need.

capacitive touch screen means it's a modern touch-screen that nearly every phone uses today, back in the day they used "resistive touch" screens and you didn't need a special stylus for it to work. so stupid to hear "that's android sh*t" when Apple was the one that made capacitive touch popular and ignited the wave of smart phones. resistive touch screens are still pretty popular today in industrial use because you can use those without taking off your gloves and are less prone to registering moisture as touches.
