Best Cordless Leaf Blower, Husqvarna Blower Review, Is Battery Powered Equipment Worth the Money??

I wouldn't recommend buying another battery by itself....I would recommend buying another tool (weed eater, chainsaw, pole saw) that includes the battery. Why? The batteries alone cost about $150 and you can get another tool for 230 or so. That means you are only paying $50 for the battery. You have two tools and two interchangeable batteries that way. I have three Husqvarna tools: weed eater, chainsaw and pole saw. All are very handy. I bought each one of them with the battery, so I have three batteries to work with. I don't use two different tools in the same day, so there's plenty of time to recharge them.

The only problem here is that batteries included with the equipment are the smallest capacity and if you buy separately there are batteries available 3x the capacity. For example 200BLi is 9.2Wh whereas the one included with the blower is probably 2.4Wh.

The battery that comes with this blower in the set was chosen to come in at a tempting price point, but there are larger batteries in the consumer line, and larger/pro batteries with even more capacity. The larger pro battery, currently the bli300 costs a little more than the blower purchased as a bare tool, and admittedly few would pay that much if they were just looking for a blower. However, for someone that owns or plans to own Husqvarna's 540i XP battery chainsaw or some other power hungry Husky tool, they will need to own one or more of those big pro batteries. In that case picking up this blower as a bare tool is tempting as they'd have the benefit of much longer run times.

Yes, the pro series batteries are interchangeable. I have a similar 350iB and the BLi300 works fine.@@martroelofs3013

@@martroelofs3013 The Husky pro batteries fit in this and the other "consumer" tools. The only difference is some "pro" tools cannot run at full power using the "consumer" batteries (BL20 and BL30). I have a 350iB and I can run it on a BLi300 battery. I get about 30 minutes of work out of it, running it at varied speeds, before I swap batteries.
