Something to note with the goop, most flame weapons can set it ablaze, and this includes the EPC with the Plasma Burn upgrade, shooting it a couple times will cause even greater DPS potential to spread across the pile You also can have teammates ignite the goo, the flame upgrades on the Minigun (actually seen at 0:45 !) and White Phosphorous Boomsticks can also burn goo

Bonus velocity on Tier 1 actually also applies to the velocity of the charged fragments, so for Build 2 I'd pick that because it would make the large amount of fragments cover a greater area as a whole.

I would argue against slowdown in tier 5 for the Goo Bomber special. Assuming you kite bugs straight through the line, you'll already have a lot of cc long-term, and I think it would be more efficient to maximize your dps with damage over time.

That's fair, anything but armor melt is honestly good for T5.

@@RichardDangles Honestly yeah. Armor Breaking can be a convenient but dubious perk at best, and Ingredient X does armor breaking considerably slower - and for a weapon that ignores armor entirely. It can be a benefit for your team, but the old adage returns where there's very few armored enemies that you'd need to take AB to break through their shell quickly.

he just egnored 288 damage, because the best way to use the weapon is to use charged shots every time, or… goo the group directly, or before them on the ground, considering more fragments gives us the ability, still maintaining the damage

It's not exactly bad, it's just not as good as the other options.

They aren’t bad in some case but it depends one the weapon your talking about. Most of the time the same tier has better options available as it’s almost always better to go for weak points and avoid wasting shoot on armor. I know that these mods give the shoot that broke armor not do reduce damage, but you still have to shoot the armor to get this to work. For example on tier 3 for the lead storm your given the choose between increase stun time and chance, penetration +1, or increase armor break. Both the other mods are better. Stun can help give you a bit of CC and make shooting some bugs a lot easier. Penetration can make your gun more ammo efficient and time effective at cleaning swarm. Then you also have the enemies in the game almost always have there weak spot exposed with one exception being in Brundle‘s. So you really should avoid shooting the armor. The other 2 enemies with notable armor because it not light and could seriously eat your ammo are pretorians and guards. Pretorians can be flank or you can bait them to spit, making really easy to shot them in there back. Even if you can flank them there heads, while not a weak point, are not armored so you will do base damage to it. Guards on the other hand can be annoying when they use there arms to block there head. But there are work around for this either by baiting them to bite you will they let there guard down exposing there juice head or by taking advantage of them slowing themselves as they will never try and block your shots if they are to far from you. Even brundles can some time be charged attack by your pick to open them up if your really in a pinch. TLDR: armor breaking mods while they can be useful are typically out classed by other option. It also doesn’t help that most common armored enemies have counter play to get around there armor.

You'll do more damage with armor breaking. Picking slow over it is a poor choice in my opinion. Slow doesn't actually kill anything but it works well with his build. It all comes down to playstyle. Do you want to kill things in fewer hits? Do you want to have to go around back of an enemy to hit weak points? Do you feel the driller should be able to kill swarms? If you are highly team focused then don't pick up armor breaking. If you want to kill things by yourself armor breaking is the better of three options. You'll need to tweak a few things and go with a different mod though to make Armor Breaking worthwhile. His posted build has little need for it.
