I went with the asus tuf, intel i7- 9750h with a gtx 1650 for use with davinci. Got it delivered today so I'll update this when i get a chance to test it out

@@colossians1_27 In my short testing with davinci so far. The intel i7 version is a beast with the nvidia gtx 1650. My render times have been cut in half when compared to the previous acer spin i was using. No issues what so ever rendering 3d graphics/text overlays in davinci. I have the upgraded RAM vs his example though. Mine is rocking 32gb of ram, and the 1tb ssd. For 1099, it's a beast of an editing computer. The amd ryzen 7, 2060 version he discusses is more powerful, yes. However, that specific model is closer to 2 grand now depending on where you get it from. It's 1400 on new egg and 1800 on amazon if you upgrade the ram to 32 or 64gb. Black magic, the makers of davinci resolve, state the minimum Ram required to run Davinci is 16gb.

That Apple with the Radeon Pro 5600M seems to be a beast, since it was released. I would recommend the Helios 300, as it has MUCH better color accuracy and nearly just as fast when it comes to rendering times. Don't waste your money on the i9 or the GPU upgrade. UNLESS you plan on video editing and using programs like Autodesk or After Effects. For graphic design, the base model will be PLENTY! I will say 32GB of RAM is a solid choice as it will improve the multitasking performance. :)

The Acer ConceptD is currently unavailable, which is why it didn't make the list. But we are anticipating that Acer will release them in August or September. As far as ZenBook - amzn.to/2E3vJ0U - is concerned, the new Ryzen 4500U inside if it is going to perform very well for graphic design and good for video editing. :) Personally, I have yet to review it, so once I do ill have more confident results and recommendations. So maybe you've explained this before but why are you only into laptops? I almost never see anything on your channel that deals with desktops, which is what I own. Maybe I'll get a laptop later on but I'm s desktop user.

Yes, I totally agree. I mention in various other videos that my recommend the starting point for RAM at 16GB for Video Editing. Ben - you might want to get microphones meant for video's. Your audio is really very weak (even when listened on a headphone)..
