Growing up, my mother regularly made this as a special breakfast that became common place, since my brother and I loved it so much!! Yes..... on today's episode, I'm making a savory, Cream of Wheat Breakfast!! 🥓🍳🧀

Ingredients:
- 5 Eggs
- 5 Strips of Bacon, diced
- 5 Breakfast Sausage links
- Cream of Wheat (use package directions)
- 8oz Applewood Smoked Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 4oz Double Smoked Aged White Cheddar Cheese, shaved
- ½ Green Onions, chopped
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Ground Thyme
- 1 tsp Rubbed Sage
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 2-3 tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
Instructions
Step 1: Mise En Place
- Chop green onions, set aside until the end.
- Crack 5 eggs into a small mixing bowl, set aside until ready to scramble eggs.
- Shred Applewood Smoked cheese and shave double smoked cheese, set aside until ready to use.
Step 2: Cooking Meat
- In a large pan over medium-medium heat, add 5 strips of bacon. Season with black pepper and smoked paprika, season opposite side when you flip the bacon. Cook the bacon until crispy (or as you desire). Let rest on a paper towel lined
- In separate pan for a faster cook (or in the same pan that the bacon was cooked in) pre heat to medium high heat and add sausage to the pan.
- Season with sage and thyme. Cook until sausages are cooked through (or as desired).
Step 3: Scrambling Eggs
- Pre heat a pan over medium/medium-low heat. Melt 1-2 tbsp butter.
- Add eggs and slightly scramble with spatula.
- Swirl eggs around pan evenly.
- Use spatula to drag eggs from top to the center of the pan. Swirl eggs around again and to fill the open spot in the pan.
- Repeat this step to remaining side of the pan ➡️⬇️⬅️.
- Add Garlic Powder, Salt, and Pepper to eggs. Then continue to cook eggs.
- When eggs are finished to your desired level, remove from heat. Let rest in pan or add into a separate bowl.
Step 4: Cream of Wheat
For 2 servings
- In a medium sized pot, boil 4 cups water or milk (if using milk make sure to watch it, or it will boil over).
- Add ½ tsp of salt.
- When liquid is boiling, slowly whisk in ¾ cup Cream of Wheat.
- Lower temp to low and let simmer whisking occasionally to prevent clumping.
- When Cream of Wheat is finished, remove from heat and add in shaved cheese. Stir or whisk until cheese has melted and emulsified into the cream of wheat.
Step 5: Assembly
- Add 1 serving of Cheesy Cream of Wheat to a bowl.
- Next add 1 serving of eggs, bacon, and sausage to the bowls.
- Finished with shredded cheese and chopped green onions on top. Sprinkle cracked black pepper on top, serve with a spoon and enjoy!!
