A bit Snobby don't you think? All Compound, All Expensive apart from the One that should have been, the BAT by Ballista is the Only really Usable Pistol Crossbow that can be used for hunting, it has a Solid 120ft-lb2 output & can take a Broardhead bolt, it will take a Deer or even a Pig in the right hands, which is the Problem with All the others, Crossbows were a Cheap Reliable Silent way of putting "Meat on the Table", with most of the others Cheap, even Reliable & Silent go Out the Window, you could buy the meat & the Freezer to put it in for Less than most Compound Crossbows on sale today, & even the Deaf can hear some of them going off, as for Reliable, a great many Compound Crossbows need to go to the shop just to get restrung, Not only is that Costly, but all that time means you are the last one to get to hunt, so you had better hope there are some Deaf Deer out there. I'm in the UK, so No Bow hunting of anyfukcingkind for me, Ohh the Irony, it was the Law at one point that Every Englishman had to practise at least once a week, but I go to Europe so I can hunt there with my bows & crossbows, & sometimes even over to Canada/USA, I do have Compound bows/x bows, but I only use them for distance due to the noise, I can hunt all day using a Recurve, even taking animals just 100 ft apart without Spooking the rest, regardless of what I use, I always seem to find myself packing my OG Jaguar as my Backup, it cost £50 a million years ago, & it still "Does the Bussiness", it is quite heavy, but still far lighter than Any compound crossbow, but that's reassuring, change a snapped string in seconds, a cocking rope sorts out the strain on my old body, & it is "Whisper" quiet, there are still plenty of Good Usable crossbows/bows out there that are Affordable & still Very Cappable, seeing some of those would have been nice, $2,000 is far beyond the reach of the average hunter let alone the guys who subsidise their food bill with hunting, it's not just the cost of some crossbows that is rediculous, but the maintenance too, even strings & knocks are stupid money for some, there are Still perfectly servisable affordable crossbows out there that might not look as pretty as these, but they Still get the job done, & some are so Stupid Simple that they need a Good Eye to bring home the Bacon & an Affordable crossbow makes it all worthwhile.

That hard lesson aside, unless you are proficient at assembly, and tuning them, I would buy all my archery gear from a pro shop. Not only will tour bow be set up correctly for accuracy, It could save your life!
