Loved the review. I'm needing to add a cushioned shoe to my rotation for my next block. I'm looking to decide between the Saucony Hurricane, New Balance Balos, or Brooks Glycerine Max. I don't need stability but I will alternate weekly long runs between easy and tempo. I want something that I can do 18-21 miles in easy as well as recovery. So I'm looking at something that's comfortable but also easy to run in. I'm leaning towards the Hurricane because I haven't heard any negatives about it and the Saucony speed roll technology just works so well with my mechanics. I also have the NB 1080 v13 and that FreshFoam X feels so good, I just can't do more than 6 miles without the foam bottoming out. So many choices I can't decide. 😡 Still got about a month left from my old rotation before I need to decide though. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Just subscribed too, good luck with the channel.

Haven’t tried the Brooks Glycerine Max, but from what I hear It is quite a soft max cushion shoe which doesn’t bottom out. Puma Magmax is another option. Will be getting that shortly. The Balos is a lovely shoe! One of my favourites, but I think there are better options for a LSR shoe. Like the Hurricane but doesn’t work well with my foot strike. The Nike Invincible should be out soon, that could be another option if they have fixed some of the lockdown issues of version 3.

@@Runnabl3-ed Awesome! I've heard a lot of hype on the Magmax, most people love it. My only concern is a select few say it is too much shoe and clunky. I found I prefer the roll through better than bounce. My Novablast 4s were great at first but the more I run in them the more I get calf and knee pain, i think it's the stress from the bouncy ride combined with the firmness of the foam. Triumph 21s were my preferred easy shoe last block that's why I'm thinking the Hurricane will be similar but softer? Thank you for your response. 😊

Sounds like the Hurricane may work for you then, they do have a bounce but nothing crazy. I didn’t find them super soft, but haven’t broken them in yet tbh.
