It's a brilliant episode (I just watched it). I think the family he went to is in real trouble because of the mother. She is a complete control freak and one of the most passive aggressive people I've ever seen. Clearly she doesn't care what other people think of her extreme method of parenting because she believes she has strong justification for what she does. Unless the couple get help, I don't think her husband will ever manage to to help her make any changes at all, which is a shame because it's a lovely family. The other family has some problems, but nothing on the same scale.

Hopefully not since his dad divorced his wife after this episode so I’m hoping he got the kids in that deal which he probably should since he’s already fully providing for them financially and she doesn’t have a job so she wouldn’t be able to provide for them but given the courts track record of giving the kids to worst parent possible I’m still concerned it didn’t end up that way

Dads bonding with their daughters is the best thing they’ll have for the rest of their life. I lost my dad at 18, 2 years ago now, and I hold those memories dearest to me. Him brushing my hair because my mom was low that morning when I was in elementary school (she’s diabetic when her blood sugars are low she can’t always function properly), him teaching me to fish, teaching me how to sail for the first time, letting me put bows and ribbons in his hair when I was bored, and my favorite memory I don’t even know how I still remember because I was only 4-5 at the time was when he drove me out an hour away to the airport and we sat on the old observatory deck and just watched the planes take off for hours, I don’t know why but that’s my favorite memory with him. We didn’t spend a lot of one on one time because he had to work so much, but I know he loved me. All fathers should take one on one time with each of their kids even if it’s something small like watching planes fly after a long week at work, it’s what they’ll hold onto when you’re gone and life is much shorter than you think...he was 43 when he died of cancer that was diagnosed and thought wouldve killed him within a month at 40....my classmate/neighbor dad died two months before my dad less than a mile outside of our neighborhood, it was raining and he lost traction while turning a corner died on impact, he was just going to get some milk 2 miles down the road. Time is short...don’t waste it. Don’t think that making top dollar means more to your kids in the long run than having memories with you because it doesn’t. My family was broke growing up and when he passed away, I didn’t regret it for a second though and neither did my parents because they knew more work for even more money would mean less time as a family and they didn’t want that. We had enough to get by and that was enough for us. Still is. Would give all the money in the world to see him one more time, and hopefully he’d be proud of who I am today

I'm so sorry for your loss. I was missing my dad so much today I cried. I was 15 when he passed. I'm 24 now. It doesn't get easier but still I love him more every day and feel his essence in my spirit and in my laugh. Every time I see a girl with a father who loves her or has that unbreakable undeniable father daughter bond, my heart breaks a little more each time. But also helps me go on knowing that there are people out there who have parents who love them...it helps me to know if there's at least one who doesn't have to know this unique pain... Bless you 💜

Brittany Bailey Why did she say she misses her family and her husband. I’m not saying the guy is not a tool I’m just saying she doesn’t seem to mind doing those things. I mean if she did they wouldn’t have gone on National tv for a reality show. But that’s just me, nowadays if you’re not a “modern woman” you’re visually, mentally and emotionally unhappy. There was this article about 2 years ago (maybe I’ll look for it) how a lady in Oregon use to stay home and cook for her husband, bake pies, dress in some old fancy clothes and just do regular old school stuff. Everyone in that town and on Instagram told her she was a dumb idiot, she’ll be happier if she worked, she needs to stop, we live in 2015 blah blah blah and the list goes on. That’s basically what people are doing in this video. Again, I’m not saying the husband isn’t an asshole but we’ll there you go.
@EndMeNowPls4 жыл бұрын
@@467076 no one and I mean no one in this thread said she should not be a stay at home mom or a traditional housewife. No one said it was bad either. But we did say she seems upset and only seemed to smile when she was treated like a person and not just some maid. As in people saying please and thank you while occasionally helping which caused her to smile and laugh unlike the visual we got from her with her usual home life. We just think at a consensus that the husbands behavior is a cause for her visible unhappiness not her role in the family and the kids even show the same emotion when commenting about his behavior. No one mentioned her role only the husbands behavior and treatment of not only a stranger but his wife. If his kids are able to say he's like this all the time then the issue is not the wife's role as we were not talking about but the husbands behavior which I will once again reiterate is scummy and trash.

Misty just used the opportunity to live her dream life. I think her rules were more reflective of what would make her feel happy and valued. Her husband doesn't respect her. I really hope she leaves him for someone better-because she seems like a really sweet woman who deserves better.

I also think it's because his wife works full time so she shouldn't have to do all the work at home as well but she's a stay at home mum do it makes more sense for her to do all the housework
@TripsCloudsPureBliss4 жыл бұрын
@@xXxbaxroxXx yeah, but there was a lot more wrong with Misty's husband than him wanting a stay at home mom. He talked about her like she was a second-class citizen and refused to lift a finger around the house AT ALL. The guy literally wanted to quit the show when he was asked to clean dishes ONE TIME. I'm sure he has regular working hours but Misty cleans and cooks for him around the clock. She doesn't get days off. He doesn't think she is entitled to an opinion because she is a woman. Calls her an "old barn" encouraging her to wear make up while she cleans because of it. He has her doing 5 hours of meal prep for his hobby (which isn't bringing in any income to my knowledge) and literally refuses to lift a finger towards it. If people want to claim that traditional roles are justified because one makes money and each person has their own "job", that's fine. But there are some cases where the guys are working 9-5, getting days off from their jobs and the women are cooking, cleaning and child rearing around the clock, essentially working overtime, not getting vacation time or sick days. Then the new tell them they aren't entitled to an opinion on top of all that??! That's not okay.
@RDCFemmes4 жыл бұрын
@@xXxbaxroxXx Housework is also work that physically and mentally affect a person and they too need time take a break. So even if you are a stay at home parent, you still need support so it doesn't make sense that Misty husband has such high expectations.

If you think feeding the goats like that is weird. I own goats and what we usually do is chop down the large pepper trees. Trim them to size and whatever we cut off goes to the goats. That entire tree will be stripped, leaves, twigs and bark in a few hours until they need another. A few times I had to actually dig up small trees that were for example, blown over and going to rot either way. I would strip the leaves and branches, the goats would eat that and I would take the wood for myself.

I really don’t think it’d a race thing, at least with Misty. I watched the whole episode and the deal with that was because Misty felt that it was easier to ask Jason to cook because he was easier to approach compared to her husband. It’s pretty obvious that she’s scared of Jack and that’s why she doesn’t ask him to do anything because she knows he won’t listen to her or do it but Jason on the other hand was more open-minded and easy to talk to which was why she had no problem asking him to cook with her, because he was kinder than her own husband. Meanwhile with Jack refusing to listen to Halani, while I agree that part of it was probably racially driven, I feel like most of it was just flat out sexism. He didn’t want to take orders from a woman and he was clearly intimidated by a powerful woman. Jack has issues that his wife feels like she can’t ask anything of him is really what it all is, not much of a race thing
