Best Dal Recipe | Legendry Daal of Lalamusa

This dal recipe is very famous in Pakistan. It is a specialty of a restaurant situated in Lalamusa city of Pakistan. This dal is made using three different lentils and served with hot desi ghee. People around the country are crazy about this dal and their tandoori paratha.
Ingredients:
Boiling Dal-
Dal Chana 1.5cups
Dal Masoor 1/4cups
Dal Mash/Urad 1/4cups
Turmeric 1/2tsp
Water 3cups
Salt 1.5tsp
Ghee 1/2cup
Garlic 5cloves
Boiled Dal
Cumin 1/2tsp
Black Pepper 1tsp
Water 1/2cup
Ghee 1/2cup for Tarka

I typed this recipe while watching in case someone needs it. 1.5 cup Chana daal 1/4 cup mash ki daal 1/4 cup masoor daal Date tsp salt Water Put daal in pressure cooker or instant pot with water. Saute mode. Remove foam. 15 minutes on high pressure. --- Karhai. 1/2 cup ghee 1 tbsp garlic As soon as garlic turns brown, add in daal slowly. Add in browned onions approx 2 tbsp. Mix and cook. Bowl. 1/4 cup water, zeera 1/2 tsp, pauna tsp Black pepper. Mix and put it in the daal. Cook 5 to 7 minutes. Sabz dhaniya +1 Hari mirch Mix in and cook 7 mins more. Mix with wooden spoon. --

Being an indian, i luved pakistani food all my life in Saudi arabia. Esp eating daal and tandoori rotis with lemon and onion rings. Nostalagia. Even the best of non veg cannot replace this.

I live California and grew up in Rawalpindi Pakistan. We used to bunk from college and go to mian Jees hotel to eat daal. I just cooked it today and got done eating.. it was AMAZING.. tasted almost exactly the same as the original. Thank you chef Afzal from helping me remember my childhood
