Mysterion The Dragon Crown I would potentially put in as a Fusion for when you don’t have DM, but you have Timmy and Rod (Spellcaster) and need a 3000 Beater with an okay interruption. Or, a second Zeus, or Accesscode. Link Spider, depending on if you’re wanting a DM in GY for ES, for the DM triangle if stuck with only DM on field

Thanks Bob! 💪🏽🧙🏽‍♂️ Right! I’m a little sad too. But, she’s only good for the dump to GY, and a summon from TDMs. Unless you’re running the Bond package. Mahad can summon DM by Ebon, and Destruction. Plus the Steal from Number: 11.

Red Eyes has ReF too though. And! I’m insight to search ReF. I agree though. Blue Eyes does seem to get the most useful support. DM gets crap, and a lot of it. Always seems to have a card created to not fit the DM archetype. Except last year in BACH. IoC, and Timmy. lol But, Red Eyes doesn’t seem to get much new.

Why not go 3 prep of rights? They are not once per turn meaning if negated you can still summon another IOC. its never a dead draw even if you have IOC.

I’ve been playing that for about a year now. Then on MD started playing 3 IoC, with how much things get negated, especially spells. I’ve had better outcomes. But either or, I usually say play 2 IoC and 3 Prep.

It’s not cheap my friend. Huge reason a lot of people don’t play it. It’s not cheap, and it’s not top tier. It’s missing things to make it Meta relevant 💪🏽🧙🏽‍♂️ But! I love it

I don't think there's a way to play pure dark magician unless they come with a spell card that plays similar to branded fusion but not with albaz, bc dragoon isn't enough unless you have proper hand traps imo. and that requires intimate knowledge with matchups. If dark magician branded is making dragoon primarily I consider it a dark magician deck that's pure bc fallen of albaz is a dragon that is related to fusion and that's like the bread and butter of dm era yugioh.

I would have to agree with you. I personally just am so sick of the “Branded” stuff. I think we need multiple cards. 1. A link-1 or link-2, that either searches a monster, or fusions. A fusion spell like branded or blue-eyes. A monster that can summon another DM archetype monster from deck, which when that monster is summoned can interrupt like Spright Carrot (negate a spell/trap). DM needs a lot of help at the moment

You could activate magician's souls effect dumping magician girl, and choose not to special summon, then red eyes fusion and draw 2 from soul servant. With this you can set up your backrow better.

if focusing on dragoon, you should play him with rivalry and tcboo and village together now your opponent is locked to 1 monster/summon, they cant use spells, you have dragoon protection and his negate

I agree. I honestly couldn’t find my TCOBO at the time. But, I have 3 months until I can go to a locals. (I’m up in the Arctic at the moment) If nothing changes to DM archetype. I’m 100% playing it. 💪🏽🧙🏽‍♂️

I know this video is kind of old, but soul servants first effect can't be used to bait ash as its first effect does nothing ash can negate

​@@godsmithofchaos No it cant. The first effect of soul servant is just "place on the top of the deck" you never add anything to your hand, so Ash blossom can't be activated. The second of effect of soul servant (draw cards equivalent to DM, DMG or palladiums in field or GY) can be negated with ash because you add cards from your deck to your hand.

Mahad is better than DMG. Mahad extends into Xyz plays, as well summons DM when destroyed from anywhere. If you’re not into Mahad, play DMG then. Both bricks 🧱

@@GrandSauce I have been using a Kashtira DM build I put together. Fixes some flaws that Kashtira has. Dragoon plus Village with Unicorn combo. Locks out all monster zones and can’t use Spells. So opponents can only set Trap and pass
