Nice Side ! BTW. The Sunbeam Tiger is the V8 , the Alpine you want to swap over to a small block if you want to be authentic and like more Power , many folks did that mod to the real Car .

Remember Alex RTM-Shop cars are usually rips from Forza or similar and sold online... and 90% of the times they need fixes to the default physics.

OK, this sucks, but the Assetto Land website is no more. Here is a message directly from them: "08.02.18: Hello all users of Assettoland: It is with the deepest regrets that we are shutting down this website for an unknown amount of time. The reason for this is because of a certain Facebook group that collects mods from all around the web (just like we do), but they are not giving credits to us for the cars we update etc. We know they add correct credits to other cars that has been updated (maybe they don't like competition from us). We have been in contact with them about this issue but no respond have been recieved. So you ALL can thank that group for this. We put alot of time and effort in order to collect most of the cars and share them in one place. We thank you all for using this until today and hopefully it will be up soon, if a solution comes around. Best regards from the Assettoland crew." How have I never heard of this before! Thank you Alex. You have to try the Ford Falcon XA GT 1972. I owned the street car version of this and much later raced a revived version of it in club racing. Challenging. I don't know how this mod is (there is an rF2 version that is solid - think I may have already mentioned it to you) .. but it would be cool to see it on your channel if you enjoy it.

I agree. Any more and I think I'll run into power issues.My front 2 are (by necessity) pretty low, so I wanted to have one set high at the back to catch the movement the front ones miss. New one should be here today (I hope). The placement of your sensors works well. I never notice hitches in the movement like I get. But then, I only have one working sensor (so AC jumps around too much to be comfortable, but Dirt Rally and PC2 are still kind of ok and only jitter a little bit but regularly). Hopefully it will all be sorted soon :-)

i gave up on mod cars for the most part, unless they are from a reputable source and its generally well known in the community to be correct. most of them are forza rips with little to no correct physics data. the whole reason we play assetto is because its realistic. if you want to drive cars that dont handle anything like their real life counterparts then go play forza. it looks better and there is more content to choose from. but thats just me, if you dont mind if these cars are correct or not, then by all means, download them all and enjoy yourself.

In general, if you find it in some way on Race Departement, its a well made mod. After Kunos closed its mod forums (Porsche lawyers were knocking) RD turned into our modding safe haven. All knowledge resides there, like my Gatebil machine :)

ICKY427 - My opinion of that site is that it indeed WAS too good to be true. I downloaded 28 cars from Mercedes, BMW, Ferrari, Audi, Nissan and a few others. 2 of them were good. The rest either had absolutely terrible psysics, sounds or tire models. Most of them had all. The car models all looked very nice though. I might have picked all the awful cars on that site - it's just very unlikely.

The first thing that misses are the LODs which already makes the car hard to recommend, though you can still drive it, but as it was already said 99% of the mods out there are rips from other games (mostly Forza or GT) and only whacked together to work. Still, I would like to have recommendations of actually worthwhile rips, diamonds in the rough style. I checked out a few from this site a couple of months back but most of them fails in many levels, even visually.

That is a known issue with some mod cars. The reason is that the fmod sound software that AC uses evolved over time and required changes in the sound files for the cars to work. Oh ok,im using content manager but i thought there is a better way than that.Because i think content manager does what you do in car tuner automatically(adding in game sounds to cars to make them get sound)But with this way,unfortunately some cars like bmw v12 lmr doesnt sound similar to its real life counterpart. Exactly. I have friends who don't bother with mods because they can be hit or miss. I agree with them on that point. In fact, a large percentage of them completely suck as far as realism is concerned...no real world data used for the various components in data.acd... Instead of ditching the mod vehicle completely, I label it "AI Only". As long as it looks good... So far, the AI hasn't complained to me even once. ;-)

ALB639 I downloaded a bunch from this site and most are just awful, even for racing against. The Ai can’t take corners very well in a lot of them. Plus some have a weird FFB UI that seems to override the Kunos in car multiplier. Either it’s flat out broken or I can’t figure it out.

@@seyd Just tested it and it works for me. You get to the adfly site, have to wait a couple of seconds and then there is a link in the top right corner that leads you to the mega.nz download site

It is sad that they gave up... e.g. they could have proposed a global download against a reasonable fee to overtake the competitors and to compensate their collection work, I would pay for sure to avoid the hassle of browsing on Facebook that I dislike... and where it seems to rather be for drift aficionados... I'll try the remaining Alpine to comfort me :-)
