I spooled it with 8 LB test mono for lighter lures, gave it some practice casts and found that it did cast well kzbin.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e , except that the anti-backlash setting had to be turned up almost all of the way to keep the "overcasts' ' down. I disassembled it, and found that if I potted some "shim washers" behind that anti-backlash magnet assembly, it got the magnets closer to the spool without rubbing, and I could get better control with about a 6 to 7 out out 10-Max setting. I also noticed that the handle shaft had some internal end play, maybe only 2 or 3 thousands of an inch, but it's still noticeable. If the anti-backlash and shaft tolerances were "tightened up" this would be a fantastic value. I've only used it for 4 days of fishing in a month's time, but I plan on keeping it.

Speaking of Epic Day, I've been teaching my 7yr old daughter how to fish, today she caught her first fish ever- a 1lb 4oz largemouth! 7' spinning rod, 20lb braid, and a texas rigged grub. Like a pro! What a champ, totally stoked, then we come back and watched this video together. She has the fever. Awesome stuff all around!

These are the kinds of days fishermen live for, I had a day like this a long time ago fishing on an old creek channel with huge stumps along the edge. Every fish seems like it was 5 plus pounds. I finally ran out of the 6 inch lizard they wanted. I was scrounging the boat for more, it was insane. I can remember that day like it was yesterday

Caleb Brau hey bud. 10/0 Owner Beast. It’ll still have head movement. And it’ll be weedless. If you need to use a jig head go light if you want it higher in water column. Need a decent length hook nothing crazy. Also DO NOT out the centering pin screw where the colors meet each other. It’s a two piece mold and it’ll mess the nose up. Just kinda go under the chin. If you want to fish it deep. I use a 3-4 7/0 TackleFreaks swimbait Head

Those days out fishing are rare and feel so good. I will never forget fishing on shore. Jig fishing late fall and caught a 3.5lb bass every other cast. I caught over 15 fish in an hour it was so much fun My wrist was killing me after that hour lol Awesome video! Subbed!
