Best Dehydrator for Mushrooms!

Late reply- so sorry! I always dehydrate under 125 degrees. Time really depends on how much I have in there and if I cut them/separate the caps, but I'd say usually around 4-8 hours for a large harvest

Wait on the Midwest grow kit "Ultimate Kit Set Up Guide" it says that if a food dehydrated is used it better have a switch to get off the heat & if it doesn't take it apart & disconnect the heating element. I never understood that suggestion bcuz doing that would be just like having the mushrooms in front of a fan..

Does each strain of mushrooms require a different temperature to use on the dehydrated?? Or is there a general rule of thumb to follow for the perfect dehydrating process??

They have since changed their minds and now sell their own dehydrator! I always keep it at or below 125 degrees, no matter the variety

Yes I am! The kit has actually been modified since making the video, so it's even better now

@@psillygirl I ordered one as well, however, I outgrew it and now have a 4x8 Gorilla tent. I also ended up buying a full blown Baker Flow Hood and put it inside another 4x8 tent for a sterile lab. I'll post pics on my community tab. I'm hooked on shrooms!!!

Yea, the link is to a discontinued dehydrator that is no longer available. The control knobs were different, so maybe it’s just an incorrect link.

Woah woah woah. I want to say that I bought one with metal trays rather than plastic because with the heating and drying and stickyness I would hate for plastic to contaminate my edible mushrooms. Just food for thought ;)

@@inyoureyes9197 there is heating to dry it. Litterally melting the mushrooms to the plastic partially. think about myc on the bottom of the fruits, etc. and how small it all is. You really dont see any health advantage to having metal trays, even a fractional advantage is worth sharing

It wasn't a video on HOW to dehydrate. It was a video showing her favorite dehydrator. You may want to re-read the title before joining the incel pile-on of criticism. And - the included booklet will have instructions. 🤦
