Akizuki deserves a spot here, not to be outshined by the Shimakaze You get 100mm guns, 8 of them, all with quick reload, and they have impressively high muzzle velocity. All of those makes it very easy to hit targets at long ranges, battleship engagement ranges even, and you can just set endless fire on enemy ships until their crew depletes from getting burned alive When played with care, Akizuki easily clocks in 10k naval damage per game even at battleship tier

Can confirm, my duck is going apeshit each time I play naval, with 5 sea frags at minimum, starting from her very first battle when she caught fire, burnt for a while, refused to die, and sank 5 ships.

My favourite destroyer is probably the battle class, I like how fast they can fire. However it would be good if more AA radar and tracking systems were introduced. I'm pretty sure that one of the main points of the battle class was that it had radar directed AA fire. Would be nice to see that in game!

Designed to defend against something doesn't mean it can't be easily defeated by them. Take Tank-destroyers for example. They are made to destroy tanks but that doesn't mean tanks can't easily destroy them.

Map design which sometimes caters to small coastals hiding and surprising... players in early DDs that are so lost and excited that they don't see the coastal sneaking up on them... DDs are absolutely effective at killing PT boats if the DD player is aware and has a shot.

The sad fact is that 90% of naval players already know the Moffett is the most broken and fun DD to play. Even at 5.0 where it gets completely outclassed by every cruiser it faces, it still dominates with those rapid fire 5/38's.

@@gfriedline imo the Moffet outguns some cruisers, especially heavy cruisers that have slow turning, slow firing guns. a cruiser has bigger alpha strike potential, but the Moffett makes up for it with it's fast fire. and the best shell has enough punch to easily wreck 5.0 and 5.3 cruisers, maybe even 5.7 ones if played carefully

@@DJKenTuckyOfficial It absolutely can. The Moffet is sort of a glass-cannon DPS. The SAP and HEVT will absolutely rip apart anything it faces short of BBs. The only downside is that you have to play it like a sneaky snek to avoid the wrath of 150mm guns.

I think that's just normal in naval. It's not like in air battles, where reserve vehicles stand almost no chance against planes that are at higher BRs. I remember ammo racking a USS Moffett in my reserve HMS Vega with a lucky SAP shot

The boats that had the 450mm 45-36NU with 6km short range are now essentially unarmed/cost sabotaged, especially the Frunze, the pr.123s and the Groza. For some reason, it became the most overpriced torpedo in game after update DIRECT SH*T. If I use those torps, a severe loss of SL is guaranteed. To avoid bankruptcy, might as well go into battle essentially unarmed of 45-36NU...let's hope Gaijin fixes this and avoid making such mistakes next patch. I'm pretty sure this isn't the only severe issue from last patch...there's more, but I'll leave it at that

No... the Isreali tech tree was more important than the French Naval trees. Gaijin knows that Naval is not high demand, so they won't try to get more revenue from a mode which they consider dead.

@@nicolaspeigne1429 Oh don't worry.... Isreal tech tree is of no interest to me. The vehicles are essentially copies of current tech-tree variants from other nations. And I really don't feel like grinding another set of crews from zero. It is almost a blatantly obvious cash-grab at this point. They get revenue from the pre-order premiums, they get revenue for people adding crew points to fresh crews... they get revenue from all of that, all while not adding anything of substantial value to the game or the community. I am all for Isreal having some form of it's own tech-tree... But I just don't see it anywhere near the top-ten of needs in game right now. Gaijin needs revenue, so the Isreali tech tree is next. Pretty obvious.

My favorite is for sure the Z32, the 155mm guns are so effective against all destroyers. Very decent AA + a good load of explosive in the shell coupled with enough torpedoes to sink the entire royal navy. One of my favorite ships in the game after the Scharnhorst, the Admiral Graf Spee and the HMS Hood

Suggestion: To help clear the load from the Client inventory servers, make a limited event to where we can exchange each order we don't want for 10 GE and each universal backup for 2-5 GE, if ya'll do that then i can guarantee the servers that deal with inventorys will get a reduced load from less items being in each player's inventory. (maybe instead of GE, make it to where we can exchange a large number of universal backups/orders for a low tier unique vehicle such as Example: WW1 Aircraft.)

Better idea... all of these crates I get from every patch drop/season that require a key to open... make the keys available for SL or something. I shouldn't have to go to the market and buy keys that were only provided by the snail for the sole purpose of soaking cash into GJN. Even more, make the crates contain more valuable items, not just a skin or decorator and the rare chance for some "ultra rare" vehicle that I cant use because it is rank 1. Maybe if we can get rid of the unused boxes, we can clean up the servers a bit.

I say #1 is Sumner it has really good anti ship 10 torpedo tube in two Quintuple tubes and 3 dual mount 127 mm guns with AAVT shells that can be used against planes. Also it's got really good AA 2 dual mount Bofors, 2 quad mount Bofors and 10 20mm Orelikons. Plus it's got a considerable amount of hull, deck, bridge, and turret armour. I would say it's only big downside is speed. As for USS Somers I say it biggest weakness is AA beyond that I would say it is a really good ship.

The downside to destroyers is that when you hit 5.0 like you get witn the Tobruk, is you eventually run up against players in Atlanta class light cruisers and get absolutely lit up by those quickfiring 5inch guns.

you can meet Atlantas when you reach 4.3, cause you can get thrown into matches up to 1.0 BR higher than your highest vehicle in the deck (it's also not recommended to take an aircraft that his of a higher BR than your best ship, cause then the matchmaker considers your aircraft's BR for the matchmaking)

For me its USS Fletcher during last Operation Suffer, at one point i had to fight 3-5 ships alone and manage to win with a total naval kill of 11 and Air kill of 5 with 1 death and 1 backup, got more points than the top 2 of the enemy team

New top 3rd destroyer is definitely the USS Davis. It doesn’t get full wrap around anti frag armor but is still very survivable and it gets a fantastic weapon loadout less torps in exchange for more firing 20mils which I prefer over torps. For manual anti air targeting, the spacing almost assured contact.

I have a really big problem with the camouflage decoration, a lot of people cover the entire front of the tank making the tank on some maps really unspotable especially on the low br that i play making the game quite pay to win and my friend told who plays too the same thing, on high br i haven't got there yet but there you have thermal scope so i don't think its that big problem like low br. I need some tips and tricks to spot them the fastest possible before i got send back to my hangar

The Freccia used to be broken. Apparently its 40mm vt fuse rounds were bugged and caused way more damage than they should have. I remember destroying DD 4km away in less than 10 secondes. Or running away in my DD when knowing a Freccia was less than 5km away from me.

For me: I suggest using Moskva the Russian destroyer it is fast and has 5 130 mm main guns and 8 torpedo it also has 8 AA turret and has a speed of 80 km/h in realistic battle it deserve some rewards, it is also maneuverable so it can dodge incoming torpedoes. that right there is a good design of soviet destroyers

This game is not Free to play they will always put you against tanks higher tier then you and even if you get premium it will still always up tier you so you are always against higher tier tanks. This game is Pay to win, but only pay to win in a sense that you can pay to buy the higher tier tanks. This game also requires months of farming to get to mid tier tanks let alone getting to end game tanks.

can we stop torpedo with naval gun shell? or something like that, thr point is how to stop torpedo? will you add function to torpedo nest in battleship?

You can shoot a torpedo just like a bomb, but you will need pinpoint accuracy
