Just subscribed! Loved your video! I noticed you mentioned steaming some of the vegetables and leaving others raw. Would you mind telling me the best way to store after everything has been chopped? Thanks!

hi Tony, we are running a captive breeding centre for Philippine endemic species and we are trying to fix the diets to what is most ideal for our birds. We are having some difficulty with the racquet tails specifically. Would you recommend mixing all the food items on one feeding bowl (veggies, unripe fruit, sweet fruits, steamed veggies, sprouted seeds etc)or giving on separate schedules the different food items?

Hemanshu Gupta parrots never have fever.fever occurs only in mammals.bird body temperature is more than ours. Give ur parrot a bath to lose the extra heat

no pellets are necessary. Also mixing fresh veggies and also cooked veggies is nonsence, it is just fiction.

Well you clearly have no idea how to properly feed your birds then!!!!!!!

@@shanestrong8892 just because one person on the internet that you see feeds some vegies steamed, some vegies raw, it doesnt mean that this is the best way of doing it. Birds in the wild eat all this kind of stuff perfectly fine, and they dont have a way to steam their vegies. And no pellets are necessary. They dont have access to pellets in the wild, now do they? Yes they can burn off all the fats from seeds they eat but thats not the point. Birds can do fine on a vegie and sprouts diet with a little fruit and the occasional seed or nut (depending on the species of bird). My green cheeked conure gets a salad in the morning, he only gets fruit in his salad every second day. Sprouts for lunch. Sprouts and pellets for dinner. He will get a boiled egg once a week mixed in with his salad for some protien, then twice a week he will get grains mixed in with his sprouts for lunch. Seeds, nuts, fruit as treats. This is just what i feed my bird, its what is perfectly healthy and avian vet approved. Every bird is different, every person is different. It all comes down to what works for you and your bird, as long as its a healthy, well balanced diet.
