Enjoyed this review! I think a nice follow up would be to talk in depth about the important accessories that can make using it easier. Like air assist, honeycomb grid, roller for curved objects, and most importantly an enclosure. Also which units are upgradeable.

Great Review! Unfortunately my experience hasn't been very good. Purchased the D1 Pro 20W. It was delivered 4 days ago. The diode unit focus point thumb screw is stripped. I've been calling, emailing, bot chatting, and even sending emails to executives via LinkedIn for the last 2 days. The only response I've received is from someone telling me they will make sure everything is okay. Well, everything is definitely not okay. The manufacturing quality of the unit is unimpressive. I can think of better ways to spend $1,500.

Oh, nooo! I am so sorry this happened to you. I hope they get back to you and fix it asap. I never had a problem with mine but my friend has some issues with her 10 w one and said customers service was wonderful and fixed the problem right away. If they don’t fix it , return it.

Your engraved eagle is very impressive. When engraving something that complex, do you have to determine the settings for each area or does that come as part of the file that you purchased?

No, its just one setting for the whole thing. Really easy. I used the settings the seller on etsy recommended in his description

Great review Skyler...... when you do your engraving, like with the lizard, did you cut out the hole to inlay it into slightly large than the lizard cutout ?

I didnt. You could do a very time offset maybe 0.015 to get it perfect but i didnt. There was a hairline space between so I added a bit of wood glue and send it while wet, and.... perfect result:)
