Very nice!! Just add some chicken liver if you find. Organ meat is necessary too in small amounts. Cursh the egg shell and add that too in the food, egg shells are excellent source of calcium. You are a very good dog owner. Keep it up! :))

You could also add bone broth (no onions and low sodium though) for calcium. They make special bone broth for dogs now too

Nice video, thank you. I make human grade meals for my dogs every day. The dog food industry is despicable. Many people are hypnotized into believing it’s so hard to feed your dogs if you don’t have a bag of poison dog food. Many meals can be created from leftovers Or just make extra when you’re cooking to include everybody. ❤. I like to include some raw vegetables too like shredded lettuce, carrots, celery, Tomatoes etc. I always pour liquid over it too like the liquid from cooked organic carrots, spinach, celery.

I took my maltese to 2 vets and they repeat the same stupidity : "Only dry industrial food or he will struggle with allergia or die too soon." Each 2 months, they sold me a new super dry food , enough, i'll start cooking & follow my intuition.

@@zorathoustra Hello I just saw your message now. I have a half Maltese half Shih Tzu and no one can figure out why he has the allergies. I cut his food down to only beef, salmon, Or tuna No chicken, mixed with only greens, shredded lettuce, cooked celery or cooked green beans. He totally stopped itching with those three meets only and only greens. Sometimes I will give him a piece of cannon gluten-free bread Because when I gave him regular bread it made him itchy again. Also JINX beef biscuits. I was really busy trying to empty my house and sell it now that I moved to Virginia I’m gonna take the food processor out and shred some fresh organic locally grown raw greens into the food.

@@zorathoustra Urgh I've gone through just the same with the vets about my poodle mix, I just get blank faces and could hear the dial up modem sound in their brains. They *like* that she's being fed well (homemade food) but they can't explain why their specific choice of kibble is better than my 30 years of experience. I mean I expect *at least* a good lie to convince me, can't even get that much.

I make my own dog food too, except i don't cook it because i don't want to lose any nutrients. And use a wider variety of fruits and veggies. But not all at the same time. I would substitute the pumpkin for sweet potatoes because fresh pumpkin is obviously not available all year around.

..i think the amount of water here meant for raw rice(maybe) to be cooked together with the chicken n veges. If you have precooked rice, reduce the water just enough to cook the chicken n veges. Well, both ways are correct..

I wouldn’t boil the chicken and vegetables together because vegetables and chicken have different cooking times and if the chicken is not properly rinsed… you’re basically cross contaminating then feeding that to your dog

Yes I would add the vegetables after the chicken has already boiled but that's so they're not overcooked - not because of cross contamination risk as surely any microbes from the chicken are already dead by this point?
