I found those nightlights about a year ago, peppa pig was a good seller. I didn't see them in your dollar tree video. Right now I'm doing well with the hotwheels. I'll give you all a tip. Sell hotwheels in packs of two of the same car, one to collect and one for play. That method seems to work for me. It may work for you all too

In my opinion, Mercari is easiest, eBay is slightly more complicated (but still good for beginners) and Amazon is the most complicated, but nothing you won’t get the hang of after a few weeks.

Have you ever tried just taking a pic of the items (not the items that are seasonal or unique but products you know are already know are consistently there) in the store, then list from that and if you sell then go back to Dollar Store and purchase. It would seem like then you are not out of money in case it does not sell? I guess it would be similar to dropshipping, but in a different way? Thanks again!

Hello! I'm new to your channel. I'm new to the reseller world...mostly stumbled upon it because I'm into retro video games, and the prices have skyrocketed. I find retail artibrage interesting and entertaining, yet I'm a skeptic by nature, and I think I would be delusional to think I could do what you do. You have skills! There seem to be 500+ listings (including yours, now at 20% off) of those kids LED lights on eBay. How many units of those a week can someone realistically expect to move, especially with all of that competition? Or Jelly Belly Sours? Or those lawn lights? When I look at sold listings, there don't seem to be many. I guess I have a lot to learn. Keep up the good work. Cheers!

We will see how many sell- so far, from my dollar tree videos, I’ve had the best luck with the charcoal products. Mine are 20% off but I priced them higher so it should still be on sale for 9.95 (just with an advertised discount). It’s hard to predict how many sell, but, for example cover the winter I sold garden flags from dollar tree and sold about 50 over 3 months between eBay, Facebook marketplace, and a local auction. When I make these listings on eBay, I am more trying to find the right keywords than exact sold matches the way I would on Amazon.

@@oldirtydawson I think that, since you are just testing the waters, it is better to err on the side of being too conservative. Purchase a few that you think people would like to buy, and if they sell, go back and buy more. That risks the possibility that, when you go back, they will all be sold out, but I think that will give you more confidence in how many you feel comfortable buying when you stumble upon your next retail arbitrage flip (ideally one that I don't make a video about so there isn't as much competition). That is kind of drawback of these kids of videos, that drawback being that if this video gets very popular, it will great a surplus of supply on the secondary market, but I still think that this style of content is worth it if it allows me to teach people the basics of the process and (hopefully) let's them apply it to other niches

A good work ethic will get you far, but you still have to have a sense of what people will want to buy. I would have zero clue at a place like a Dollar Tree, so I don't think this sort of retail arbitrage is for me. And from what I've learned so far elsewhere, it seems retail arbitrage at big chains can be risky, and you really need to be careful/know what you're doing, which you're saying here by not wanting to flood/tank the market if 5% of your viewers do the same thing and buy what you show in your latest video. I also agree that this style of content is worth it. It fired my brain up and had me curious! And I am learning. Thanks again for the lesson and the time, and best of luck! I subscribed!
