I sold about a zillion cans of disinfectant from DT this last year, probably had my listings taken down 10-15 times for "price gouging" so called essential items. I would just list them in one of my other stores and wait out the ban on the 1st store, then when they were taken down on the other store switch to another one. It was solid for awhile -- now nobody wants it!

I did the same, mostly sold Odoban and Microban 24. I sold tons of it, that’s what launched my eBay biz and got me over the 100 sales mark to make Top Seller last year. However I got my listings removed a couple of times also. Unfortunately I only have the one account, so no other stores to list in. I did get stuck with about 25 bottles of Microban 24, so if anyone needs any…… Just give a shout…. LOL 😂. Otherwise my house is going to be germ free for years to come! LOL

I shop at Dollar Tree enough to recognize products that Ebay seller offer. I wonder why anyone would actually pay extra on eBay. It doesn't seem that lucrative to me. I have resold a few dolls from thrift stores before but it was time consuming and I only made a few extra bucks. It wasn't practical or worth it full time. I can't imagine the amount of time and energy it take to really make money on Dollar Tree items.

Hi, I am a US seller, I just received a message from a customer who stated and forwarded photos of their item being broken. This is a PRIME fulfilled order so I was quite surprised to receive that message as I would have expected amazon customer service to handle that mater. The item although being plastic is totally smashed? looks like they just dropped it in a box and sent it off to Canada… Anyways I would appreciated your help on knowing how to handle this situation. There’s not one criteria, sometimes I will look for exact sold listings, sometimes I will look for peripheral keyword listings. Sometimes you just have to follow a few hunches and then throw gas on what works.

going to experiment with this since I was in DT and clothes really aren't working for me. Bundling Disney items and found some hot wheels and GI Joe . Of course I couldn't find complete sets of everything but its a nice start. Might go to my other DT and see if I can complete and make more lol. I just use my phone and the app but only cause my phone wont connect to my laptop for some reason . We'll see how it goes.

Make friends with the freight manager in the dollar tree stores. They know when the trucks come in and what is on it and also what departments they stock on which day. I know this because I was a freight manager and had several people befriend me and whatever order I met them I would call them and gave them a heads up on what I had say for example hotwheels or pokemon cards coming in. Also order on dollar tree online for bulk items keep receipt and bring leftovers back to exchange for new items

Lilo & Stitch with Stitch plush AND two of the same plush as twins looking for adoption, lol. Grandparents loved the set and parents loved the “twins” idea. Both sets were gently used in like new condition only.

No, you won’t make money if you do the EXACT same bundles or sell the EXACT same items in the video because too many people are watching and the market get’s saturated by those who don’t think beyond what they see. These videos are to give you IDEAS, to get you started THINKING 🤔, so you can research and make your OWN Dollar Tree listings. The main points of the video: Look for Name Brands, look for similar items that can go in a bundle, mix up the bundles so they are different than what others are already selling……. If that doesn’t work, try again, mix the bundles differently, change the prices, make sure you have your pictures showing well, Promote the listing….. there are sooooo many things you can do!! During the Pandemic 😷 I legitimately COULD NOT go into ANY public places, and that is when I started my eBay biz. I was able to sell enough by just doing ONLINE RETAIL ARBITRAGE (having everything shipped to me) to make a few hundred dollars a month. And I was only working maybe 10 to 15 hours a week maximum. Now that I can go into stores, and the kids are back in school, Dude! , the sky is the limit!! So don’t be a hater…. Be a money maker!

Some people don’t have DT near them or don’t know about the deals they can get there. Some people are too proud or snooty to shop in a Dollar Store. Some people work so much they don’t have time, so shopping online is easier, like working mothers, etc…. Others really just don’t care that much about the price as they care about quality and/or convenience. That’s what I have observed. I used to think the same. Why would anyone spend so much for things, because I never would. But most people aren’t wired like us. Those of us who are super bargain shoppers/hunters are, however, well suited for the reselling business. 😉😊

I found this on the web: According to Crayola, their crayons begin to soften at around 105 degrees. They have a melting point120-147 degrees Fahrenheit. I might add that to the listing with some kind of note about ordering during hot temperatures or something…. have to think that out.

Correct. Shipping is figured out by weighing and measuring an item, then using that to estimate what the average shipping cost would be. It’s a bit trickier but my very first product ever on amazon was a bundle of candies.

I just read up on the rules for media mail because I wanted to see if I could send Video Games that are on CD via that method (note: that’s a No No). All media mail can and may be opened and inspected at any time. Any packages found in violation of media mail rules will arrive at their destination with a COD (Cash On Delivery) ticket for the cost of shipping the package as Priority Mail. Making your customer fairly unhappy. AND, the USPS, can and will likely charge you with Mail Fraud, a felony …… I can’t remember the jail term but it was like 20 years. That was enough for me to choose to pay the extra 50 cents to $1.00 difference to ship via First Class mail. P.S. Magazines are also not considered Media Mail, unless they are educational magazines or are specifically being used for educational purposes.

@@WBKnoblock Yes, most of them, when it’s cost efficient and shows results. But, I did just talk to eBay, and think 💭 I’ve found the problem. About a month ago, a very ‘Special’ eBay representative advised me that I could change my shipping to two days handling time from one day and still maintain my Top Rated Plus benefits. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️. 👎 WRONG 😑 So, all my listings have been demoted from the match and other things they do for Top Rated Sellers that advances listings to the top of the search categories. UGH 😣 Anyway, it’s fixed now, but it will take some time for my listings to gain traction again. So, back to listing and listing…. Hopefully these will start to catch some sales now! 👍😊

Only bad thing about Dollar Trees is if something doesn’t sell you can’t take it back for a straight refund only a store credit. Is that what you guys are finding in your areas ?

If they will take it back at all, it is for store credit. AND one of the DT’s in my area will only take returns on items purchased at their exact location. But it’s not an issue for me, since I buy so many things there anyway. There’s always something else I either need for the house or can turn around into something to sell.
