I can't wait to go through the rest of your build video's. @GunnerAl94 жыл бұрын
Two questions. One, does the design hinder or block the raise/lowering of the table hand crank on the right rear side? Two, dust collection below the table top, doesn't all the lower dust and chips fall into the top center drawer? I love the design and the added table top; however, I think you could have built your own table top that meets your needs. The one thing I like about that table top LeeValley is the arm extensions that come out from it. I do long pieces and those arms help a great deal but if I had planned my shop layout a little better I could have used my table saw outfield table as support for my drill press. Two thumbs up...I'm following your channel now. Great job!
@dpmakestuff4 жыл бұрын
GunnerAl9 thanks. No it doesn’t hinder movement up and down but it is a little heavier. No the dust doesn’t go into the drawer. I wish I would have just used a piece of 3/4mdf for the top with no t tracks. A big flat table would be infinitely better.

DP is that a narrow crown stapler or a finish nailer you are using to hold everything together? What size narrow crown staples or brad nails do you use?The project looks great. I like how you gave us more information about using 2 sheets of 1/2" plywood as an alternative to the table you used. Thanks!

Hey I'd like to make that this spring. Way back when I threw something together for a drill press stop it interfered with the little handle behind there that lowers and raises the table. I have to pull if forward, then turn the handle. I couldn't find the design on your web page, just curious how you fixed that.

I may have blinked and missed it but is the top only held on with glue? Unless there is some trick, I've always struggled with just glue on anything
@dpmakestuff8 жыл бұрын
You must be using the wrong glue! Fully cured wood glue is stronger than the wood.
@dpmakestuff8 жыл бұрын
There are tricks to glue no things together. You have to consider different methods depending on the type of wood, the wood grain, expect use, etc.

One more question. Are the gaps for the drawers to fit them perfectly in the box around 1/16" each of the four sides? Also, I can't see the plans in your website. It's not there. I click on the pictures but nothing happens.
@dpmakestuff8 жыл бұрын
1/16 on each side would be 1/8 total and that would make for sloppy drawers. I like to get them fitting tight and lightly sand them to make them slide nice. I just double checked and the plans are there and available. Thanks
