I'm on my second pair of Onitsuka Tiger Ultimate 81s! I love using them for driving and the gym.

ultimate 81's are great high quality shoes made in vietnam and very comfy. i made the mistake of buying a replacement set of 'tigers' which were mexico 66 i think and they were absolute trash!! by far the most uncomfortable shoe ever worn, the inside and heel area is like actual concrete 0 padding or material on the walls just this scratchy HARD material

The Tigers are super lightweight and comfy, but I found they don't last that long. I have about a dozen PUMA driving shoes. I pick a dedicated pair for track days and cycle through some for every day driving. So far my PUMAs are great for driving and last a long time.

I’ve owned a few Puma driving shoes too. A good option. 🤘🏽

Excellent video idea! I’ve always wondered what driving shoes are best. I tried driving bearfoot and it was rough!

This funny you say that, Elise likes to drive barefoot. She is stronger than me, I need some shoes. 😅

Of the great driving shoes people might be likely to just have laying around I'd say the ubiquitous Adidas Samba Classic has to be up there. Really any indoor soccer flat will probably do pretty well because feeling what an inflated ball is doing under your foot requires nearly the same sensitivity as you'd want for pedals. Meanwhile for people who, unlike me, dress like adults....any relatively light-weight leather-soled dress shoe. Old-school racing shoes were leather soled so if it was good enough for Fangio, it's good enough for me....though a *little* rubber can help your foot slipping off the pedals.

I can see how soccer flats would be nice for driving. For me I had to get something that I could feel the pedal feedback. It just makes for a better driving experience. Also, ventilation is important too. I remember my friend driving his race car and his feet were so hot he had to add some insulation from the tunnel of the car. Mind you the shoes he was wearing had to be fire retardant and most likely not light or thin I assume.

Lonsdale do a shoe for $30 or £24 UK amazing soft, slim, and ideal for small pedals.

I do that too when I forget to wear the right shoes. It is a different experience for sure.

for driving shoes what fit is the most appropriate? my actual feet size is 9 if i go for 9 1/2 will it be ok? or will it cause some pedal errors due to few inches space? i saw a puma ms evospeed for 12 dollars its 9 1/2 but my actual feet size is 9 will it be a problem?

For 12 dollars its worth trying. A lot of driving shoes run small so I think for the price point you can try them and if they do not fit you can at least find out what size you are in that brand.
