I have each of these coffee pots. Ninja is my favorite because it brews Kcups and fresh ground. When brewing a single cup of fresh ground you do not need to add the coffee to a special cup. Also the coffee stays hot, it does not stay hot in steel carafes with no hot plate.

I had the Hamilton Beach model that just died on me yesterday, it lasted about 4 years. After some quick research and price comparisons, I picked up the Ninja DualBrew standard model (no frother, would not use anyway) last night from Bed Bath & Beyond for $135 after sale/coupon. I bought the Ninja 301 PRO for $159.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond. It was listed for $230, but was on sale for $199. I have a BB&B yearly membership so that gives me $20 off one item coupons and 20% off entire purchase coupons. I looked on the BB&B app and it was listed for $184 and the cashier honored the price match since it was their app. So after all my coupons it came to around $159.99.

The Cuisinart that you brought upstairs, I have that coffee maker, I absolutely LOVE the looks of it, and that it makes a carafe or a single serve k-cup. What I dont like, and I bought mine probably in 2021, but since new, the k-cup brewing side does not pour out the coffee as a smooth stream, it's kind of a spit and sputter like a plugged faucet, and I have seen that mentioned in other reviews. so you get lots of coffee spots on your clean carafe, and counter top arountd the coffee maker. I have cleaned mine plenty of times and I dont think that changes anything. to me, it has the best style, but for the price, it should have a smoother stream of coffee that comes out of it.

Yo Dad- been watching your videos and reading reviews. I thought I had settled on two brands to choose from - Hamilton Beach & Cuisinart. But after reading all the negative reviews and comments I don't know what to do. Both mention leaking water and k-cup failure of some form. Some also mention temperature of the water/coffee not being hot enough. Don't like the Keurig and it too has leaking issues according to the reviews. So with your experience and knowledge what do you suggest? Wait until they fix the issues? Roll the dice, take a chance? Buy a 3 year extended warranty if available? What do you suggest?

My father wants a new duo coffee pot and K cup machine for his home so my parents can have a full carafe in the morning and he can have a cup later in the day. For a simpler machine, is the Hamilton Beach the best choice for them?

Good Question. Both take a little getting used to to work them. I would spend the time getting to know the Ninja, it is a much better machine but it does cost 2x as much. If they need it to be really simple then I might go with the FlexBrew.

Thank you for the detailed review. I am torn between the Cuisinart and the ninja. The only concern I have about the ninja, is when brewing a pot of coffee it is not in cups, but in ounces. The largest you can make is 55 ounces. Which is not 12 cups of coffee. 55 ounces equates to a little bit more than 6 1/2 cups. Is ninja considering these to be 6 ounce cups and not 8 ounce cups of coffee? I believe 12 cups of coffee is 96 ounces. We host large gatherings, and if I’m making a pot of coffee, typically people are drinking more than 8 ounces of coffee at a dinner party, I would have to make at least four carafts of coffee. If using the ninja, since the ninja only gives you 55 ounces.

Just an FYI... The coffee industry standard 12 cup carafe is 60 oz. So the standard cup is only 5oz. ...a recent revelation for us as well...smh, who knew?!?!?

You decision on the Hamilton Beach taking upstairs, the newer model is kinda confusing. As you differentiate between the new and older model . You say older you point to the one in the front row. You describe the one in the back row as the newer one. Then you say (you will be taking the newer one, pointing to the one in the front row) upstairs. Previously you said the one in the rear was the newer model. Then you point to the one in the front as the newer on and the model no.is 49976. Could you clarify this please. I an considering the Hamilton Beach Flex Brew. The model 49976 does match up with the one in the front row as you first described as the older model. You do fabulous reviews and the viewing audience appreciates your efforts and Thank You.

I have experienced Much plugging on the Ninja dual brew in both modes. It does not brew as hot as my basic Kuerig. The Pump just died on the Ninja, 1.5 years in! 😒

First, I found your video really informative. However, I did get the Ninja Dual Pro for Christmas and just opened it up about 2 weeks ago. Last Saturday my husband was trying to make a single cup of coffee and the machine leaked water all over my furniture it sits on since it doesn't fit under my cabinet on top of my k-cup drawer. Not only did it leak but there was an error code, the coffee oz. selections are no longer showing 6, 8, 10, 12 but now 5, 7, 9, 11 After calling Ninja yesterday they told me they would replace the main part of the machine but only if I paid $22.00 for shipping. I was horrified. Brand new machine, was a gift so now I have to ask my son where he got it from and pray he still has the receipt and see if the store will take it back. These machines are so expensive that I feel if they have a "board" problem the company should replace it at their expense. Needless to say I'm worried about getting another one since I'm afraid it will leak too. I'm thinking I need to pick out a different model.

The oz display sounds like it’s set on the rich setting depending on the setting it displays slightly different amounts

I own the Ninja and I'm looking for a new pot because it's so terrible! I get grounds with the reg brewing and grounds with the k cup.. it's terrible. And we've tried every kind of coffee and every kind of grind. It's just terrible

Great review! I have the Ninja Dual Brfew Pro thermal carafe (#CFP305). I love it! That said, it's not perfect. Here are some of wish list items for the next generation: 1. The coffee could be hotter or even better, user selectable (my Keurig's brew was five degrees hotter) If adding cream or milk, it's too cold. Same is true for the water dispenser. BOIL setting is a misnomer as it pours at around 195F. 2. Also on the subject of temp, the milk frother does not heat milk so the milk has to be heated in microwave. It produces a really nice froth though! 3. Keurigs have water filters available for the reservoir, this doesn't. It's not an issue for me because I always use filtered water anyway, but it's nice to have that option. 4. My last Keurig had a lighted reservoir which looks really cool, this one does not. 5. My last Keurig was smart enough to know if there wasn't enough water for the Brew PRIOR TO starting the cycle. The Ninja only lets you know AFTER it runs out of water. 6. I think Ninja cheaped out by not including a permanent cone filter. 7. Reusable k-cups are not available for this machine at all (neither OEM or aftermarket as of this comment). 8. I wish the start/stop mechanism was automatic like on some other Ninja products. 9. As a lefty, I wish you could position the reservoir on the left side of the machine, instead of just the right or rear of it. 10. SPECIALTY function: keep the 4 oz pour bc it works for most specialty brews, but also add a 3 oz pour for cappacinos (this is the output of the Keurig K-Cafe model and it makes a better cappacino because of it). 11. The only permanent cone filter that will fit the machine has to be purchased directly from Ninja. The shape is proprietary so you can't use a generic one from Amazon. 12. The book that comes with it only has two recipes. Other premium Ninja machines comes with many more! I want to reiterate that despite these criticisms, most of which are nit-picks, I highly recommend this machine just because of its sheer versatility! For this price point or even higher, you'd be hard pressed to find a more versatile machine.

@@JustADad No, it's an either/or situation. I've noticed that the problem is much worse with paper filters than the permanent one. I'm thinking it may be due to the brand of paper filter (Great Value from Wal-Mart). I'll update this post after trying a name brand like Melitta.

CFP301 Huge letdown Ninja! The pod attachment is a disaster. I tried 5 different branded coffee pods and some from the different brands suffered the same flaw. When making a cup of coffee, you would end up with basically the contents of the pod direct into the cup. A huge mess! The spike at the base would randomly create a small split in the pod resulting in the release of grounds. What's the odds of the coffee pods made at the same manufacturer?

I have had mine Ninja pro Duo for about 8 months and occasionally the K-Cups would leak grounds into my coffee. And I loved my ninja! But a couple of days ago it continued to release grounds of coffee from the k cup. I cleaned the machine and now it just gives me a little bit of water and steams most of it out of the top. I have read in another review that others have had the same problem. So that is why I'm on this video trying to find a better choice of Dual coffee makers. I use the K-Cup function more than I use the full pot. But I do want both options. Thank you for these videos!
