Best e-Reader: 6-inch or 7-inch? I'd say both

For me best format for read at home is 8 ( kobo sage )or 7,8 ( like ink pad 4 )

I'm a 6" fan, in the kindle basic or kobo clara ratio :) I have a Boox Go 10.3 and will get a 6" companion for it when it becomes available (like a new Poke or Go 6). I don't want page turn buttons.

I can’t believe I didn’t realize this before! I am buying a 6” inch kindle this week to use it outside home. I was really tempted to buy the Clara B/w. But I have the 7 inch Paper white. Is there any way to synchronize the progress on the book you are reading between Kobo and Kindle?

No you can’t sync progress. So but a kindle of you use the paperwhite then you can sync with the kindle basic

You could test the kobo, then return it if you dislike or just sell the kindle. I have 2 different brand ereaders and I read 2 different books on each, not one single book across devices. Good luck!

Mine is 6 inch and have never tried the 7. Although Im looking for a libra 2 or whatever blackwhite twin will come after the libra color. In my experience it is easier to follow along the text and comprehend it in a smaller screen with smaller sections and bigger font. It doesnt feel as overwhelming as a big, thick and heavy book with tiny text. Ereaders have helped me rediscover the joy of reading. Edit: Though it looks like none of yours (Stefans) devices have a (matte) screen protector. Or do they? What do you think of the pros and cons of using one? That could be a video idea. I want to try it but worry that eventual regret and removal will scratch or damage the screen.

You should never use screen protectors on e-readers. The e-ink layer should be as near the top as possible to get as sharp as possible. Screen protectors is not necessary on r-readers and the screens are non reflective

Yes i know you can do that but as I’ve said in other videos, it doesn’t matter, the form factor is simply wrong for me

@@svartling thanks for quick reply. I'm looking at buying kobo forma, I can also buy kobo aura one for cheaper. the aura one has no buttons so I'm not sure what to go for since almost everyone has said the buttons is what makes it better. how do you hold the kobo when you are reading in bed? this is for my nephew whose 7 and what would you recommend in your opinion. thanks for your advice, I like watching your videos

I hold it at the side of it. It has bezels at the sides where you can hold it. But as you said many like buttons but I don’t. So maybe you like buttons too. So I can’t recommend what you would like but I would choose without buttons personally

@@svartling I appreciate your guidance. the forma is lighter and the screen plastic so kind of more durable. what sells me about forma though is 32gb rather than aura 8gb. Odroid did a study on their emmc modules, the speed differences is substantial both sequential and random and I rather have more storage and hopefully this last for 6-12 years . I'll pay for the forma, but it's good to see perspectives and either way they will enjoy both I bet. thanks
