just go into peaceful and then back to normal. Saves time and resets mob spawns

@@ahmff8742 Yeah but that’s if your intention is to afk for a while, but if you’re gonna afk for 1 hour then make your difficulty normal, because making the difficulty hard makes your hunger bar go down even if you’re idle, leading you to death.

GUYS IT DOES WORK. At first it wasn’t working for me but I read in a subreddit to go to your world settings in main menu and set Simulation Distance to 4, it controls how many mobs spawn and despawn in your world. As soon as I set it to 4 and loaded up I started getting slimes!. Hope it works for you if you care to try.

Guys if slimes are not spawning then make height of that area 3 blocks that will start slimes to spawn ( because slimes need 2 1/2 height to spawn) and also keep afk distance 28 blocks away from chunk

Just in case somebody has the same issue than me: I had one weird issue with this approach. I tested it on 2 different slime chunks, one single and one place with 2 adjacent chunks. Slimes did not spawn as long as I went into the tunnel (which was at the boundary between both chunks) and I tried several other distances beside the advised 24 (especially since my believe is that about 16 would be a better option in the case of two adjacent chunks, giving larger expected spawn area. I tried then to dig another layer out on the ceiling making it 4 tiles high, and all of the sudden a small slime spawned at the other end of the room, at the end of the other chunk. I could verify that this works both sides of the long edge of the room. Going into the tunnel stops them from spawning again. Weird. I was surprised also that the spawning always occurred near the far wall (1-2 tiles next to the wall only). So I decided to dig out an area of 4 additional block but only 2 high at both ends. which seemed to make them spawn farer away from the wall. But I can confiirm they despawn if running into this space at the opposite wall (about 36 tiles away along the axis, not circular). Finally I closed these additional areas with glass blocks and added a door at each end of the glas walls and this works great, especially that this way I do also see the slimes spawn or how many are in the room.

You don't need the seed for slime chunks in bedrock. Slime chunks are the same for all seeds

@@ceilingfan1973 in Java, you need to put the seed into chunkbase as he said here, to find slime chunks. But in Bedrock, every world has slime chunks in the same coordinates. So you just need to pull up the slime chunk finder, but no point finding and adding your seed.

You should make sure all of the caves within spawning distance from the player are well lit, sounds like your mob cap is full.

Those coordinates are not a slime chunk. The the closest one is 720/160-735/175 X/Z

THE SEED DOES MATTER. it is how chunkbase knows what coordinates have a slime chunk in YOUR WORLD.

Slimes aren't spawning for me. My chunk coordinates are -273, 37, -33 to -288, 37, -48. That's a slime chunk unless im reading Chunkbase wrong (im assuming up/down is z and right/left is x). My y level is correct and mt afk thing is 24 blocks away. Anyone know what could be going wrong? Edit: bro i found a hugr cave under the farm and lit it up, and slimes spawn there instead of the farm Kinda hate this game sometimes ANOTHER edit: alright i spawnproofed the areas that needed to be spawnproofed, and slimes STILL wont spawn
