To anyone who’s villagers won’t throw to the guy in the middle but will pick the carrots up, your middle villager may have picked up food and if he did they will no longer throw to him and also if you want to guarantee they can’t throw items to him just knock him in the hole of the composter and he won’t jump out of it and they will never reach him. Hope this helps, great tutorial otherwise and the farm has pretty good rates if you afk it.

I lied it was a temporary fix it stopped working after a few stacks

Hi there! My apologies about that, i thought i made i built the farm in a way that prevented the villager in the middle form picking up the crops. In your replay, it seems like that was a temporary fixs, ill look into this and see if i can find something that works!

@@haakonplayer77 thank you and there also just could be a problem on our end still but I’m pretty sure I built it right I’ve gone over a bunch and searched other forums too and it seems other crop farms I’ve made suffer from the same issue so it could be one of the newest patches breaking something

Hm thats strange, and yes maybe its something to do with a recent update/patch? As i have not had that problem before with this farm. Ill keep looking into this, and test some stuff out! ill let you know if i figoure out a fix:)

To all the people in comments, make sure your villagers are linked to beds properly and to workstations in their sections. This can cause issues, like iron farms.

In theory if this was built near other villagers it would still work no? It's just job stations that are important as long as there's no other workstations they can connect to it would work right just be less efficient bc of them trying to pathfind to other villagers? Also if it wouldn't work at all would the auto farms that dont use the center Villager but minecart hoppers work fine around other villagers? Ik it's a lot of questions but I really want an auto crop farm in my base near my trading hall. It's a ways away but not 100 blocks away.

HI there! sorry for my "late" answer, and no worries! This can work close to a village, but to make it as easy as possible to build, and to reduce the chance of problems, i generally recommend building it a bit awey from other villages/villagers. For your third question, sorry i am not sure i understand that.. could you refrace it?

you don't need to worry about work stations as much as beds. once they link to a workstation they'll stick to it. to lock their profession trade with them at least once. if there is a bed nearby that has no villager linked to it the farmer villagers will try to breed constantly since they have food and detect an open bed that can accommodate another villager. they will not farm when trying to breed. make sure the number of villagers is equal to the number of beds in the area, no more no less. I would build this away from your base though just because all the crops on the ground cause lag. If you want a crop farm in your base make a bone meal powered crop farm that can be turned on and off or just haul the crops from this one into storage.

Anyone know how to fix the villagers not picking up the crops? Did everything right and afked thinking it would need some time but the villagers still won’t pick up the crops

try giving them a few crops then see if they pick up the rest

That can happen, these farms can be tricky, make sure the villagers have a bed, and that they can see and touch their workstation, that should hopefully help:)

villagers are harvesting but ive already cycled thru 2 in the middle and they wouldnt throw to either of them. any suggestions?

Bro I did almost the same as u but the villlagers don’t pick up the carrots. And they don’t give it to the villager in the middle. What’s wrong? Pls help!

@@haakonplayer77 Some of the carrots no. But sometimes the carrots are just laying there. The farmer doesn’t give the carrots to the guy in the middle

you can try putting a minecart hopper and track system under the dirt to collect the wheat and giving the farmer eight stacks of seeds to start, that fills his inventory so he can't pick up the wheat. for the water place a stair or slab and water log it.

i removed the fencing , added four trapdoors where the corners are , and on the corner hoppers i put a hopper minecart and rail and its working well .
