This is easily the most comprehensive overview of the 3 top tiers of available American made knives on YT, done by someone who's used, abused, sharpened and lived with these knives for YEARS. Your opinions & information on these knives is so valuable precisely because they come from your own personal experiences and long term use. I really need to try an Emerson one of these days!!! The Kelso looks AMAZING (although I still think that Mila Kunis will just call it The Michael)!! 🤣. It's the perfect knife to carry for when you're just hanging out, down the street, doing the same old thing you did last week!!! Great video, E!!!!! ❤

My first knife was a Sebenza 21… had no idea at the time what I was buying I just knew I had finally found a company that made a left handed knife! Later I learned I had bought the best production made knife in the world and ruined me forever! I’ve got about 35 sebenza’s and Umnumzaans… absolutely love them! Hoping I can eventually get the blades swapped from s35vn to Magnacut. So cool they’re willing to do that for the older 21’s!

Benchmade north fork is such an overlooked knife. It feels like it’s in a different class of knives to all my other benchmades. Full steel liners like a liner lock, only it’s an axis lock and a super slicey yet robust blade. And wood scales rules too. Good when it’s cold outside. Spyderco my faves are manix 2 LW and natives. And I love all spyderedges.

I love my Gec's but there prices have doubled in the last few years, but if your lucky enough to get one, its still way better than the secondary market. I'm just thankful I got the few I have before the price went through the roof

I've never had a Emerson or a TRM, hopefully one day. I love the 940 totally one of my favorite knives. Hopefully I can expand the Spyderco collection someday, but the CRK knives took all my budget! 🙄 I definitely like to spend my money on American made knives when I can.

Zero Tolerance knives are also excellent, and made in America. I think you would love the 0450 and 0562. The carbon fiber versions are beautiful.

Spyderco is just a work horse brand……I’ve got a para 3 and it’s gotten me through every single thing that has come up in daily edc and work stuff. I like your knives👍🏻And your videos are super awesome too🙂

My everyday carry is a small non-locking three blades case knife. Something so tiny it might have 1 1/2 inches blades. I usually carry a Leatherman in a case on my belt also.

Careful with those non locking blades! I got cut pretty bad when a small blade folded back on a finger tip...was a Swiss Army knife, so it was razor sharp!

Right on, Erica. You're spot on with your video. I don't own any TRM knives (yet), but your take on the rest of the modern EDC knives is exactly how I feel. I know you're not too fond of Hinderer (for understandable reasons), but I would also put them in the CRM category of incredibly high quality all American made EDC knives. I have an XM-18, which is fantastic, and a Firetac, which, along with my CRM Inkosi, is in my top two favorite EDC folders. Keep up the great content.

If you don't got your heart set on a model I can recommend the Presidio 2 either the mini or the full sized, it's a very slept on "meat and potatoes" model but the price is decent for a Benchmade, and it's a very solid little folder.

I have always wanted a 940, but as you said in your video the price just turned me away. My hogue deka has better steel and I got it for 100 bucks. My spyderco native 5 in magnacut was also significantly cheaper.
