@@rubenfarfan1254 Radagon is merged with **Marika** Marika comes from a **Shaman village** (which is in the dlc) The tooth whip is made from the teeth of those in the shaman village. Short explanation: It's the teeth of Marika's slaughtered people (before she became a god)

best part about the whips is that the frame data is so horrendous, you can jump attack, have an enemy NPC dodge the attack, and hit them anyways due to the whips windup animation being longer than the dodge itself. making it a top tier weapon vs npcs

You know that crack you hear when someone uses a whip? That's a sonic boom. The end of the whip is traveling faster than the speed of sound and breaks the sound barrier. It absolutely doesn't make sense that it wouldn't stagger more.

7:54 one thing that candlestick has over magma blade is thst candlestick is a guaranteed item while magma blade you need to farm for (and its a pretty rare drop as well)

Useless fun fact: Hoslow's Whip gets tier 2 bleed out of the box, normally it's only unlocked when you bleed infuse a weapon with built in bleed.

Whips are pretty powerful in Elden Ring. They can handle Malenia very well, funnily enough. They certainly haven't been this powerful since DS2.

Highly disagree with the whips being the worst. While they do lack in damage and stance damage, they easily compensate it with the ungodly amount of stagger potential - the jumping R2 with both of them can stagger almost everyone in PvP and most enemies in PvE (except for the SotE because FU, player), and their reach made most of the fights much easier for me, since even the giant enemies love to jump around the arena.

@@janogabor7697 Birds? Whips make it easy. Mobs? Whips make it easy. Staying just out of enemy range? Whips make it easy. Slap Father in the face from behind gravestones? Whips make it easy. Trying to get the highest possible riposte damage? Skill weapons make it easy ... which includes whips. Cane Whip is the best starter weapon.

The Tooth Whip's Skill can also decrease the amount of moves an enemy can do for a bit, but it doesn't work on bosses.

Frankly, they are a decently consistent option in PvP. It does good poise damage, hits from good range and are hard to read. So its all around a good PvP option.

yeah, whenever I get invaded on my bleed build i whip out (hehe) powerstanced hoslow whips with bloodhound's step. For some reason every invader I encounter loses brain cells when they see them.

An easy way to fix whips would be to make enemies guaranteed to flinch when hit by them. Let the player feel like a beast tamer.

I found powerstanced hoslow petal whips useful as sidearms for an occult build that mainly used powerstanced scavenger curved swords, mostly for the omen sewer and against melania, who can be infinitely staggered if you time your attacks just right.

Something that makes the whips worse is also their ability called sweet spot, where if you distance yourself from your opponent it does more damage(don’t know if you covered this in the video)

Im not sure about the dlc weapons, but out of all the base game weapons the urumi has the highest dex scaling out of any of them. The only one that even comes close is the guardian's swordspear

The way you buff them is by increasing stance damage, give them a crit attack and increase damage and give more ash of war options

strongly disagree with whips being the worst class. They have the longest attack radius in the game for melee weapons. The range is even longer than pikes apparently. Also they can chain stunlock many enemies and do it from 10 ft away, instead of having to get close with a sword. Damage isn't really an issue either for the Urumi at least. Urumi charged attack can easily hit for over 3k with 60-80 dex, keen infusion, royal knights resolve, axe talisman, 2 hand talisman, and spiked tear. Whips seem perfectly fine as a weapon class. Not having many ashes of war available is really the main drawback.

The only use for whips I've found is killing tough enemies through the walls. Like, the boreal knight in the basement in Lothric Castle. Other than that - idk. Maybe it's a good pvp option.

Fromsoft try not to make whips terrible and shit: IMPOSSIBLE Seriously, just one unique skill for whips would've made them much better, and yet they decided against it, while thinking 5 new colossal swords with 3 of them being unoriginal design wise is a good idea. ER whips are the best they’ve ever been in a FromSoftware game (except bloodborne) sure are not super broken like straight swords, katanas and greatswords but at least whips are better the flails, perfumer bottles and throwing daggers
