Use thorned whip with any blood affinity ash of war for left hand and the hoslow petal whip with bloodhound step ash of war with frost affinity for right hand for dual whips. You'll be building bleed and frost and can dash out and into range. this shit is crazy powerful.

@@SocietyKilledTheUnicorn bleed scales with arcane . Cold scales with intelligence, so it takes a bit of those. And whips mostly scale with dex, personally. I prefer going for arcane double occult whips.

@@livinlife1057 most builds I've found say to go arcane and occult. Dou you have a rough outline of the stats for that? 30 vigor, 40 arcane. Minimum int and the rest in dex?

Can confirm remembrances are only good for their initial drop. Additional duplicates will not make a second weapon available if the weapon was already chosen

it depends for some reason. I got two of Morgott's, Godfreys, Fire Giants and Godricks weapons while also getting the other Item. with Godrick I got two fists and one Axe. I also wasn't able to get either of the Elden Beast weapons after getting both, so it seems that it depends. many rememberances I just traded for Runes while being able to get another Item instead. like why would I need two of renalas staffs?

I like just using whips to keep my distance as I throw lightning and shoot lasers from my eyes. I just finished the academy so I just got the regular whip at the moment.

Urumi with Bloodhound Step is my favorite weapon. Breaks stance and stuns any opponent, interrupting attacks and stopping them from drinking a tonic, etc. Just a sweet, sweet weapon.

you only have to meet/spare patches during the first meeting, after that yo don't have to see him again and he will still show up at volcano manor.

Nice to see some whip love. By far the funnest build and with hoslow or thorned doing bleed with occult affinity, I was able to easily solo every boss with bloodhound step on ng+3. I personally had an easier time with the crucible knights and other heavily armored NPCs with whips compared to the RoB as it broke their stances with regular hits.

Raptors mist ash of war and claws talisman with duel wielding hoslows whip (scaled cold) is super op. Use the mist to counter an attack and hit with both whips in the air

Would like to mention that the way the video is diveded makes it seem like there's only 4 whips, in the "thorned whip" section of the video there's both the thorned whip and the Hoslow's petal whip, so many who are looking for the hoslow's petal whip specifically might glance over it and think its just not included and move on. the video itself is pretty good and informative just wanted to mention that so maybe you can fix it

Yes, but the Urumi can be grabbed decently early, and is actually pretty good, especially if you are high Dex.

Try it at night. Also there's a crypt nearby with a grace that is a lot closer. It's off to the right side along the cliff if you're facing the same way as the fire guy. I had trouble too but as soon as I switched to night he dropped something almost every time. I hope that helps

In my opinion:I don't agree with number 1.Even tho it has "stronger" stats than Hoslow's Whip and Thorned whip,Howlow's and Throrned whip has BLEED on it and it always better to have Bleed in any Fast Weapons like Whips.For me Hoslow's and Thorned Whip is Number 1 and 2 whip for that Bleed damage alone.
