It’s a great looking conversation/stock electric scooter. Unfortunately, it’s not legal in Victoria, Australia (wattage is too high). I’ve converted my Swifty One to electric using a 200w hub (the maximum allowed here). I love riding it - the Swifty One is a beautifully designed and built scooter. My only gripe is the brakes which don’t have the stopping power needed for really safe electric scooting.

Ah that's interesting. I'm aware that in the EU the industry is working on homogenising the rules. I'm sure these rules will evolve with time. For us however, I'm sure you appreciate it's quite tricky to cater for the variety of regs around the world.

Another good Video, i love the Swifty Scooters, and i love this version, is with the big tire safer, the problem this E-Version is not Road legal in Germany, the scooter most be conform with the "eFVK Verordnung", so i hope its coming in the Future.

Is SwiftyONE-e safe for road use (assuming it's legal in the jurisdiction)? Does the foot brake work well enough at 25 km/h? Otherwise, if the described 40km full throttle range is real, and with the foldability, it would totally kick away the regular electric scooter competition! It's unfortunate you can't ship it internationally, I would totally get one and nearly forget (except in dire need of portability) about my small scooter.

I ve seen normal size wheels private e scooters roam about. So it def is legal but I wonder if they need insurance, mot, tax. As i wouldn't pay the "mafia" to ride a scooter around.

Sad, they have moved away completely from the kick scooters and now focusing on fitness products. Carbon one have already been forgotten. We have Mibo Mastr, Mibo Goodspeed, Yedoo Dragstr etc. higher quality, and some are lighter and cheaper too. For example : Swifty Zero 8.2 kg 16 inch wheels Yedoo Friday 7 kg 16 inch wheels Yedoo Dragstr 7.4 kg 20 inch wheels just to name some. Will check back next year in January for the carbon model, but I have little hope.

Hi Safug, please don't be sad! We have not at all moved away from kick scooters, quite the opposite! Our company has grown from the love of kick-scooters! We have had to adapt our business to cope with the various challenges of Covid and the severe disruptions to our supply chain. The carbon project has not been forgotten, but is subject to the same supply chain challenges. Thank you for your understanding.

I love my Swifty One-E but in this video, it looks like it’s being ridden on public land (pavements and bike paths) here in the UK, but that’s not yet legal. I’ve kept to private land so far because riders of E-scooters have had big fines and had their scooters impounded for riding on pavements and roads. Or is it now legit to ride in these places?
