Great stuff! I just found your channel and I’m really enjoying it! I got an S1 about a month ago. I was very impressed by the build quality and design, and it’s been so nice to have for my projects. Glad to see you are doing something interesting with it!

so if it can scan 3'd, then can you output that scan, as in, can you scan a vintage neck shaft as if you were going to laser tattoo the shaft with crosshatch pattern and export the G code, to cut it on your cnc with a finishing pass? It would be an awesome demonstration of technique if you could copy a neck shaft using the scanning output of the laser. Maybe even try to DIY plek scan the fretted fingerboard in a different video, to verify the accuracy of your fretting before level and crown.

Awesome stuff Mr. Gutierrez! Maybe you could try making a fancy 4-course Renaissance Guitar, complete with a 3-dimensional rosette and intricate fretboard! A donor 8-string Baritone Ukulele kit could be used for that perhaps. Anyways, I will be looking forward to your next upload! \m/

Man, curved surface engraving is just so cool! I got myself an acmer p3. It even supports an auto feeder. Too bad the LightBurn software it works with doesn't support curved surface engraving. Overall, though, I'm really into its cutting performance and engraving details. I reckon the future of desktop laser engraving machines is gonna get smarter and smarter. Maybe curved surface engraving will be a standard feature one day.

Nice , you can even get 2 tops , the good one the positive and the negative , you only need to do a new frame/silhouette if it's needed, having the bites in place with the tape just apply glue evenly with a roll for all the negative surface and glue the whole negative side to another ukulele's top , then if you see that it needs a frame , just proceed to cut the silhouette of the ukulele , in that way you can have another nice ukulele top with nearly half of the cost .

It might be cool to do a tobacco burst on the uke before you put the cutouts on it. Also, I don't feel the skunk stripe detracts from the engraving on the guitar neck. I wonder if you have to actually remove the finish from the back of a guitar neck before you engrave it. That guitar stand design is interesting. I wonder if it fits in most gig bags.

If it is a thin finish or satin finish, the engraving would work just fine. I just engraved the tele top which was sealed with some kind of sealer and the laser burned right through it.
