The backlog for Raptor orders is pretty huge, so naturally the wait is longer....... we have actually built more Raptor skateboards then drive kits in the same period. ALSO, I suppose sending out un-assembled parts is a bit easier & faster.... so Drive-kit orders will always be quicker and we probably won't have such a big backlog so will always ship faster.

you need to make a kit that has the controller, battery, charger, BMS, etc. So that all the people need is a board to mount all this stuff to. With the price thats less then the boosted board and better performance, it will fly off the shelf.

Hi Jason I am a big fan of your brand. Ive wanted to make diy e board for a long time now. I understand that good quality means higher pricing, but unfortunately that kit is beyond budget for me. I was wondering if it would ever be possible to just get the motor wheels and the foc box by chance? As I can’t find any other hub motors that I want for my board ever sense the limited time that Jacobs were in production.

I don't know man.. Hubs feels yesterday.. They have inherit heat issues because you are surrounding the hub with rubber.. adding heat pipes feels more like a hack then really addressing the root of problem, also still can't use your own wheels or tires. The urethane surrounding the motor doesn't really matter that much, the heat comes from the core of the motor, if you want less heat you can run lower current or extract the heat using heat sink or heat pipes. Please understand that heat is absolutely expected with these high powered direct drive systems. People do need to accept that motors will heat up, Nobody would expect to have a winning race car but that it never gets a hot engine during the race?..... Let me say it again, All direct drive systems will heat up, they all heat up at the core, it doesn't matter where the wheel/tyre/rubber is located.

Demand for Raptor 2 is much greater, Backlog of orders on Raptor 2 is huge in comparison. So people wait longer for that product, it also needs to be built and takes longer to ship etc.

Which is why you charge a cancellation fee to really screw buyers over who wait months and want to cancel. If you have so many people wanting them why not just refund and supply one of your many buyers?

This told me nothing about the product other than its a motor for a longboard that if you pay 200 more you can control how fast it goes. I have no idea the battery life. Maximum speed. Weight. How tall any of it is. I know nothing other than its a motor for a board.
