Perfect Meri, But the importance of eliminating the odour of the chicken meat by washing with lemon juice and water should be highlighted. I tought this would be viewed by foreigners as well. Thanks for the yummy Doro.

Meron Afrikawit i’m having a difficult time with the Injera. It’s not as fluffy when I make it. Nothing like when go to the market or an Ethiopian restaurant. I’ve attempted to make it several different ways with several different recipes, and I follow the recipe exactly when cooking. Soft thicker injera isn’t what I’m able to produce. The taste is fine it’s just the texture. Mine can can turn out thin, crispy and not the right texture at all. Can you help me?
@sundaymakuach33183 жыл бұрын
@@SunShine-tj2op do you let the mixture sit for basically a whole day? That’s how my mum used to make it by letting sit and cooks it the next day. Not sure if this’ll help but thought I’d comment.

This is actual cool, my mom taught me a different way to cook it, not with butter. But with everything else, i love doro wet. I also cook the chicken for a long time, like an hour and a half ,safe than sorry. Less oil i guess its a problem with me not liking the texture of oil. And we use tomatoes and tomato paste. Also we cook the garlic and ginger with the onions and berbere. I love Ethiopian food and its the first food i learned to cook even tho i am not Ethiopian!!! Tibs and doro wet has to be my favorites!!!!!

Nice recipe that makes me hungry all of the sudden. Few questions for you. Is it okay to put tons of butter in a doro wat? Cause I do personally prefer buttery one more than non buttery one... Is it okay to use boneless chicken breast instead of drumsticks and thighs??? I do hate spittinf of bones while enjoyinf this buttery stew hahaha. Do you think eggs gonna be smashed down if I put eggs in the beginning?? PS. It seems like perfect recipe of Doro Wat Ive seen and watches here in KZbin.
@giftimeron5 жыл бұрын
Hi there, putting a lot of butter is up to you as long as you enjoy it but also but don’t forget the health risk. You can use boneless chicken breasts honestly I don’t see why not even though it might be frowned up on traditionally. Wait till the end to put the eggs in though. Lastly thank you for watching 🙏
