Best banana bread recipe i have tried!! I had bananas that weren’t ripe enough so i put them in the oven for 30 mins, they turned black! I altered a bit by adding cinnamon and vanilla extract. I also added 100g of granulated sugar and 60g of brown sugar. This recipe is a great base!! 101% recommended!!❤️❤️

I've made this banana bread twice now, both times were absolutely delicious however the first time I made it, I only had 2 mediumish sized bananas and it was too thick so I added a bit more yogurt, the second time I had three bananas and OH MY GOD from the presentation to the texture and flavour, IT WAS A DREAM, thank you Sally!

I just made this and it was amazing! Super moist and fluffy, and it freezes really well. I don't even like banana's that much but this recipe was really good. I made the mistake and added 3 large bananas, so it was a little bit TOO much banana taste for me - next time i'll just add two!

Just made it with Doves Farm Gluten free plain flour and I added 1/4tsp of xanthan gum. Turn out so good! Thanks Sally!

A quick tip, open and peel your banana from the opposite end. Just pinch one side and it will separate cleanly without mushing it up. Great for overly ripe bananas.

So, I had to come here and comment. I made this recipe with regular flour and gluten free flour and I must say, I, and my family, are in love with it!! I had to convert the measurements of grams to cups. (made a note to purchase a kitchen scale. lol) I used plain Greek yogurt in both loaves. The gluten free flour I used was a premixed, cup for cup flour with the xantham gum already in it. Both of my loaves came out beautifully. I have made tons of banana bread recipes in my time and they are always soggy or way to sweet. But this recipe is, in my humble opinion, beautifully balanced. It will now be my go to recipe. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. BTW, I love all things Cupcake Jemma!!

This is the best banana bread recipe out there! The texture is super fluffy, just like cake and there’s no annoying dense bit at the bottom. I made a few modifications and it was incredible. I used only 130g caster sugar + 60g light brown sugar. Also, subbed half of the butter for coconut oil (cos I didn’t have enough lol) but it worked perfectly. Thanks for the recipe, it’s my go to now!

I made this today,.. wow,. what a GREAT recipe! I made 1 regular loaf and 1 smaller one, both in my 2lb loaf tin. Very tasty, came out light n fluffy, cooked well, didn't burn and did I say how tasty it was?! Delish! ❤ Cheeky side note, I added a tsp of ground ginger, one more egg (they were actually too small, hence) a shot of Chivas Regal (13yr) whisky, some muesli and demerara brown sugar. Hmmm.

Guys, I made this today and let me tell you, this is hands down the BEST BANANA BREAD RECIPE EVER!!! It was just the right amount of sweetness, and very soft and moist. I substituted the plain flour with wheat flour and swapped out white sugar for jaggery poweder to make a healthier alternative, and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! You should definitely make it, you won't regret this recipe!

Literally just baked banana cake today! A great tip for fluffy banana mash is - if you have it - use an emerssion blender and should you be lucky enough to have one with interchangable blades use The “smoothie” blade. It made for an almost mousse’y texture to The banana and The cake, which was like a ciffon (sp?) cake became so light and fluffy!

I didn't have yoghurt so I made the buttermilk hack with 100ml of milk as I was thinking it's probably lighter than yoghurt. I added 50g less sugar just cause, all the rest the same. So good it's half gone already and only me and my boyfriend here 🐷

I got around to making this. I'd had a request to make "normal" banana bread so I left out the walnuts, pecans an chocolate. But I did sneak some ground almonds in there (only about 60g so I don't know how much difference they made) and swapped out some of the caster sugar for light brown (also about 60g). The bananas were not super manky but quite ripe and with 2 medium-ish and 1 smaller one there was definitely a nice amount of banana flavour. I also sprinkled some demerara on top before baking. It was certainly well received and I'd rate it as probably the best banana bread that I can remember.
