Best ever Big Dippers/Dipping on large canvas was a challenge but so worth it

Acrylic pouring: Fluid art
Paints used today are Mont marte poster paints
My pouring medium used for my current work is a pre mix of 70% “Mont marte craft glue and 30% warm water, (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed.
My paint brands mostly used are the Mont marte studio acrylics, dimensions, or pouring paints, Boom Gel stain.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

Another missed video, I came across, and I think the best part of this painting, was listening to you and John, converse with each other!! Ok, I’ll admit it, I’m an art snob! Gilly’s videos were not the first I saw using acrylics and pouring. The initial reaction: not art, anyone can do that. Well, then I found this channel and everything I had been thinking, snobbish thoughts, had to be tossed out! Oh my word, watching Gilly work is such a joy. And humbling, to be able to look at the canvas and know what that precise touch is that will make it memorable, is art, creativity, talent, and an eye for design that is very rare. Every time I find a video, I flag it for “watch later,” even though I can’t resist watching some of it right away. Gilly, your eye for color, design (ex: negative space,) and balance is just breathtaking. Don’t know that I’ll ever attempt this medium, but I have, and still am, learning so much from you. What joy your art has in it, and life. Besides, listening to your talks is so much fun, love hearing you talk to the pups and telling us about the outdoor sounds we hear. Blessings to you and yours at this season.

OMG What a beautiful result. The colours are exceptional and the little bit of cell action is so cool. I love that you have used the poster paint as I know I will try the dipping and probably some swipes with my Grandchildren when they visit this summer. (Your winter so I have several months before they come) I have the opposite problem to you for your studio, mine doesn’t have heat and below zero temperatures outside is not good for pouring.
