These are the routines with the highest execution scores on each event (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise) at the 2024 Core Hydration US Classics on May 18, 2024.

whats crazy is that hop of simones on vault was easily 3 to 4 tenths.. that vault was damn near flawless til the ending.

As much as I understand the COP and the need for this type of scoring, there's something about athletes not being able to come even close to receiving perfect execution scores even with the "cleanest" routines. Even the best in the world. Can someone tell me when in the last 5 years any athlete has scored higher than a 9.2 in execution on anything besides the vault? Actually, what I'd love to see (I know it's impossible) is for each of the scored moves in the COP executed by any athlete perfectly. Meaning, if the judges expect every move in the COP to be executed a certain way, I want to see that it's humanly possible because at least one athlete is able to perform is perfectly during his/her routines.

Deductions are minor for the YDV unless you fall because it is so difficult.

You almost cannot take away points from Simone while she's on flight since a pike is an easier form to maintain compared to a stretched position, let alone while twisting. Her deductions are only from her landings which is why she still gets high E-scores.

Twisting is easier to deduct than pure flipping (which is much harder).

Other than the 2 landings, tell me what else there is to deduct. You literally can't even in slo mo - her form in the air when she does it is perfect, and the distance + height she gets is textbook perfection.

Simone (VT/UB/BB/FX) Shilese (VT/UB/BB/FX) Jade (VT/FX) Jordan (UB) Suni (BB). But assuming Suni gets a UB routine going at nationals then Jordan’s spot really just becomes a backup AA spot. And that can go to whoever between Jordan, Leanne, and Kayla place highest at trials

My sister has kidney disease and the flank pain is no joke. I love Suni but kidney’s are vital organs and that should be her priority. You can tell after an event when she’s in pain. Coaches don’t care as all they see are medals. I saw a clip about Simone, Simone has been trained for 21 years, why should she retire?

People of all ages enjoy her music, and considering she's been making popular music since 2006, many of her fans are in their 20's and 30's. Why do I like Shalese more than Simone? She's a lot more fun to watch. She has elements of style and elegance that the Champion lacks in her performance. In addition, she shows the minor details such as pointed toes, fine lines, and great sassiness on the floor. If she can pull an Amannar, I'm certain she can outperform Simone at the upcoming Olympics.

@@jacobmiller2663 The Chinese have much to worry about. They went from 2nd place after three rotations to 4th after vault and had only two medals over all at the WC. Simone alone counted TWICE the amount of medals that they got. If they don't fix that vault problem they will find themselves in similar position in Paris especially considering they wont be so brave to do their most difficult routines on bars and beam except in events final.

No Jade was fairly underscored relative to the field. Her score went up from domestic to international competitions.

Right and for Jade to score almost a 13 on bars with a fall plus mistakes. This is the same 2022 COP not 2020. Now that it is the Olympic Year her floor scores went from 13.0-13.2 domestically/internationally a few months ago to 13.75-13.8 with the same Difficulty stop it.

That's no hate to Jade but her artistry nor execution didnt improve that much. Did I say she didn't have potential for a 14 bars no I didn't. That bars wasn't and definitely should have been lower with a fall!!

Watching the coaches lifting their arms while the gymnasts are doing difficult skills on the bar just makes me cringe…do they actually think they could prevent a fall or injury? If anything they will break their arm!

I mean, spotters do prevent injuries all the time. It’s just not “I’m here to catch them”, it’s “I’m here to make sure they fall in a way that doesn’t paralyze or seriously injure them”. Usually spotters just kind of alter the trajectory of the fall.
