Best exhaust for 11-14 Mustang GT (longtubes, x pipe, gt500)

This is what i think is the best exhaust setup for 2011-2014 Mustang GT's my car has BBK 1 7/8 Longtube headers, BBK off road x pipe, and gt500 axle backs

Just did this setup, sounds great! I had long tubes with a x pipe and roush’s. Let’s just say it’s obnoxious to even drive. I’d like a bit louder maybe borla type s, but this sounds amazing for the price compared to 900+ dollar borlas. Got mine for 150 bucks, so def recommend.

I had a solo performance cat back that was perfect I’m tone and sound level. Then I did catless long tubes and it’s stupid loud and obnoxious 🥴. I need something quieter, and I wondered if the GT500 axle back would be the best option

I have the same setup but with res deletes , never geta old , this is the perfect all around setup, before the gt500 ab i had roush and it got old reall quick , stupid loud

I have a 2014 with BBk LT’s paired with Roush axle backs - it’s way too much. I want to try this set up. Is the exhaust an OEM axle back off a GT500? I’m trying to find it online and only see Ford Performance models designed to look like what’s on the GT500. Appreciate any help.

I have k&n cold air intake, bama 87 tune, cat delete, res delete, OR x pipe, roush axle back. Overall I love the sound with this setup

I have this set upon my 2011 with stainless works longtubes and its amazing. Although i wouldnt say it screams like say corsa extremes or borla ataks. When I’m at the quarter mile my car is honestly relatively quiet compared to the 50 other mustangs. But the in cabin sounds is perfect, you can really control the sound at your choice, it can be quiet or slightly obnoxious if you choose.

I’m thinking about switching to the gt 500 mufflers but I’m not sure if it would be a waste of time. I have mbrp street now and outside the car sounds okay but in the cabin I can’t really hear it. Sounds barley any louder than stock inside and it’s kind of boring. I don’t want my car to be obnoxious but I want it to sound good to my ear from inside the car also. Would you say the gt500s do that?

@@Joemauma_ the car can only sound so different with axlebacks, but if you have longtubes, the gt500 is probably the most unique sounding exhaust. Like i said its not the loudest, but i do think its a quality tone thats pleasing to hear no matter what. I’ve never gotten tired of the sound, and its a big plus that there is zero drone whatsoever. I highly recommend you try it if you want something new.

ive got also the gt 500 exhaust with midpipe delete + stock headers. unfortunately here in germany it cant get any louder then that :( else the cops are 24/7 on your ass

Thinking about changing to these axlebacks. I have JBA longtubes, JBA off-road X, resonator deletes, and corsa extreme axlebacks rn. Drones and is so so loud. But I really love the tone. Think I’d like this set up?

Have you tried Borla S Types with your set up? If you haven't that or the corsa sport will be the last exhaust you ever try. No drone beautiful sound and won't make your neighbors hate you
