Am I the only one who found this video confusing? I saw a lot of swatches...I liked this, I didn’t like this... but at the end of the video all I could remember was the calligraphy pen thing. The Snowflake Diaries for me, not really. I really wanted to try to like it Bc a lot of people have been saying it’s one of the best things ever but I’ve purchased it twice & it doesn’t work the best on me. It crumbles if you go over the same area, if that makes sense? If you apply the eyeliner in one stroke, it’s fine but if you go over that one single line for multiple times (Bc you know doing perfect liner in one go is pretty difficult), it crumbles & flakes off 😢

Who else thinks that Urban Decay liners are a pain in the a*** when it comes to sharpening them?

Hell yes - but they're my absolute favourite liners! So... my top tip would be, to try using a basic pen/pencil grip while sharpening, placing it at about a third of the way up the pencil - I found it really helps (especially when they're getting a bit short!), by not only by helping with grip, it kind of "balances" the weight of the pencil to give a more stable angle for sharpening? Unfortunately, I've found that popping the pencil in the fridge for a while only encourages the "lead" to fall out (as does being too rough with them, dropping on the floor etc - *so* annoying!) - so, if I'm still struggling to get a sharp enough point, I use one of those tiny sharpeners that get hidden within the barrel of a lot of cosmetic pencils, especially the kind that twist-up, and/or come with smudgers (and a lot of people don't even realise are there!) - however, since adjusting my sharpening technique to that described above, I rarely need to do so any more! So, what do you think of their pencils? Are you a fan like me, and/or do you have any useful tips you could share?

To see if your smudgy pencil has a "hidden" sharpener, give the smudger a gentle tug (but don't force it!) - if it comes out fairly easily, flip it around, and 9 times out of ten you'll find the part that was inside the barrel is actually a "tip" sharpener, designed so that the soft "lead" can be brought back to a point! Quite clever, really - and something that I discovered only by happy accident!

I think im in the minority here, but my fave type of liner are the first group you showed, the sort of paint on type with a brush tip. I wear winged eyeliner every day, and I find they’re the best for wings because they don’t tug at your skin like a felt tip, and don’t dry out! My personal fave is the Nyx Matte Liquid Liner, which I’ve been using for a good like 7 years now almost every day... lmao

I agree about the ease of use and love that NYX liquid liner too, but it collects on my inner tear duct. I recently discovered Em Cosmetics Brush Tip eyeliner pen and am in LOVE. Like throw away everything else because I found my holy grail! And because it is a pen format I find it easier to use.

Love these kinds of videos. I’m the same way and I want the best of the best. I kind of wish though that Tati spent a little more time on each product. I’m down for a super long video. And, soooo many products were mentioned I wish she threw up a typed up list of each category with the liners ranked in order best to worse in the video or in the description box... too much information too quickly. A visual summary would be nice.

So I bought the pretty vulgar liquid liner because you said it was great and the packaging what adorable and it was awful! It was literally the worst liner I’ve ever used 😩 it was instantly dried out. Wouldn’t even put liner onto my lid. I also found it hard to control because of the odd shape of the tip. I had so many issues with it. I checked the reviews after all my issues and everyone said the same thing. This makes me sad, Tati 😩😩😩

KvD tattoo liner is a ride or die for me, it's super easy to get a really sharp wing, doesn't bleed and stays on all day! Absolutely love it!!

Also, watch out for expired eyeliners! Mine expired and I was a smart ass thinking it would be fine but my whole eyelid especially my last line flared up. 😪
