I’m so glad you’re addressing the humid factor. As a Texas gal born and raised, I have found almost NONE of the tips for makeup I have seen online work for me. No surprise really since a lot of the gurus live in areas that aren’t hot and humid 10 months of the year. Cream products have generally been a fail for me. Mascaras don’t wear here like they do in drier climates. So thank you from the sweaty bottom of my Houstonian heart for this vid. ❤️

My mom used to apply, then blot her lips on a napkin. Then, she'd separate a tissue so that it is 1 ply, and do loose powder over that tissue onto the lips. It was her version of long wear lipstick back in the early 90's.

I love that L’Oréal is getting some love. They are my ride or die brand. And yes, even compared to high end (minus eyeshadow and setting spray). And shoot, I’ll use this for my every day work makeup. Working 12 hour shifts, you really want your makeup to not run or fade. And I’ll experiment with a lot of makeup, but not setting spray. I will only use the All Nighter spray because it works so well for me. People talk about the Charlotte Tilbury one but I already know the Urban Decay one works so I stick with that. Don’t want to waste money on one I know I possibly won’t like.

Thank you for bringing up all the creams for face. From blush, bronzer etc. it just becomes a mess in the heat. As someone that lives in South Florida with this unbearable heat and humidity, you need powder if you want to make your makeup last and look good.

I just realized my cc cream I’ve been using, from the spring, isn’t budge proof or waterproof and I need to get back to my long wearing liquid foundations. I also like that you touch base on drugstore affordable foundation, bronzer, and blush long wear options too so that there is a known fact there are reliable inexpensive options that will do that trick! Ok so I had to come back to comment. I tried baking today… WOW. I haven’t tried it in years. For the past 3 years I’ve struggled w powder (since my first pregnancy & postpartum) I find it makes me look crusty, no matter what brand/kind even ones that everyone else seems to love. Well today after seeing this video (& being sick of my concealer sliding around and my makeup not wearing nicely) I tried it with my maybelline fit me powder that I haven’t used in forever. In the past I never let my baking “bake”. I let it sit for 10 today and I feel so flawless! I was actually complimented on my makeup today as well. Amber rush has been a all time favorite of mine since they launched the product. I've been wearing it for well over 10 years now. I'm over 30 and I'm still in the phase of using prep set and glow as my setting spray if anything my make up has got more glowy since I turned 30 matte just doesn't look as good anymore. Glitter on the eyes is also so easy as it can be a one and done look but you look like you took your time. Plus those two foundations are also my go to foundations although if I really want that staying power I mix the infallible fresh wear with a bit of double wear, I don't get on with double wear on it's own but mixed with fresh wear completely transforms both.
