Idea for a video: who has the strongest claim (monarchy wise) to control the holy land- basically who if we go through dynasty of everyone that ruled it or claim decedent to rule it actually have the strongest (fun fact the line of David was still a thing in the Iraqi Jewish community until the 11-12 century ce when the Seljuk killed all the direct heirs but a lot of rabbi dynasties claim decedent from them especially considering that by the later part they turn themselves into rabbinical dynasties)

Love the covid19 chart and the Christian texts chart ❤️ The covid 19 chart in particular is very outstanding that it should be shown on like schools, lab, or even the news. But I agree that many people are becoming bored hearing those news nowadays after years of lockdowns and quarantines. However, the virus is still evolving and still deadly. We many never know what will be the future of this thing. It's either it will disappear someday, or it might come back with mutations whatnot, or just stable as today. Some countries say that the virus is in endemic phase. But regardless, it's better to safe than sorry. Anyways, love your channel always ❤

It was a "chart" that used a made up connection between the High Kings of Ireland and legendary/mythological figures of the Old Testament to connect this user to Adam. It was banned not because of the topic itself (charts like this connecting real people to legendary/mythological characters are posted all the time, Matt even showed one featuring Zeus in this video) but because it was basically a glorified list made into a column of boxes with arrows in between.

I’d be very interested in watching a video about a chart of the Trump administration that shows a chronology of all the individuals that have joined/departed, the administration and identifies the persons that have been prosecuted, with outcomes. And, for comparison, I’d like to see a second similar chart of the Biden administration. I think it would be a fascinating comparison that could help voters make an informed decision.

Hopefully in the video at the end of this year, Therealscorp1an's Italian Monarchies Chart will get a mention, he's the one who made the German Royal Family Trees chart that won last year, and I think the Italian chart may be a contender to win again. I think a reason why it wasn't mentioned in this video is because as of this comment, compared to the Top 5, it only has 150 upvotes, and it was only posted 3 days ago.

Saying the pandemic is over doesn't mean covid is gone. There isn't a flu pandemic and we don't have everything shut down just because of flu, but the flu still exists and can be deadly. We also don't have to have a flu pandemic for it to be a good idea to still get a flu vaccine.

Oh, I wasn't advocating for shutdowns. I'm just saying that we still need to be aware of COVID and take certain precautions. Also, according to the WHO, the current pandemic is not actually over yet. The "emergency phase" is over but technically, the pandemic is not. It still kills 4x as many people as the flu and its long term effects are still being studied.

You have a very narrow idea of what a pandemic is. I have only lived through one pandemic like Covid-19. But that is not a typical pandemic. You mentioned the flu. I remember having Swine Flu in 2009. That was a pandemic. There were no shutdowns. The pandemic is not over. You can claim that it is and that like the flu, the virus persists but the pandemic is over. But you would be misunderstanding what a pandemic is. You would also be wrong that we “dont have a flu pandemic.” Sometimes we do. Normal endemic cases of the flu, no. But if the flu is particularly infectious or deadly it may become an epidemic. If this spreads around the world, it will become a pandemic. This is currently still happening with SARS-Cov-2.

6:00 - I can spot one mistake in chart - in the left there is Old Polish from which derives Polish and Silesian - this is simply false. Old Polish is considered by academics as a stage of Polish language (by the way still understandable for Polish speakers) and Silesian is one of dialects of Polish language. In recent years (or maybe even 2 decades) some Silesian autonimists claims that their speach is different language from Polish, but from the very begining this claim has only ideological background, not scientific - the main argument is that everybody can decide by themselve wheater his speach is different language or not. Diffetent situation is with Kashubian language/dialect which is also included in this chart. This speach is linguisticlly different from (the rest of) Polish dialects and is on border of beeing part of Polish language and independent language (for many years it have status of regional language in Poland)

Hey matt i am really interested about something. I was watching your video on comparing DNA Tests. In one of your tests it showed that you’re a 1% druze. As you know we druze are the world smallest religion and its also a secret and closed religion. We exist in israel,Lebanon,syria,jordan. Some migrated to canada and Venezuela in the 20th century. I am from northern israel. What really interests me that all druze that do DNA religion it comes out 100 percent druze because we take from each other so seeing that you’re a 1% really interested me🤩

Many dubious things in that NT text charth. Bluntly: It's trying to stay with Christian orthodoxy despite known problems with books. Current (critical, not evangelical) scholarship seems to be in a transition, increasingly putting the authorship of *many of the NT books, as we have them, into the 2nd century.* Also, Paul's alleged travels, indeed his entire lifetime, is up for some serious debate. Once scholarship is detached from having to reinforce the Christian orthodoxy a great many problems come to surface. And while it has been accepted for some time that there has been redaction of the NT texts, it now seems likely that the changes (and inventions) have been quite substantial.

"2 Timothy isn't likely authentic." - what is meant by "authentic"? It is likely that 1 Tim is not from the hands of Paul, too. Indeed, perhaps none of the so-called Pauline epistles, as we have them today, are really what Paul wrote. Instead his followers copied and concatenated/edited some actual letters from the guy, then later (2nd century) Pauline communities created the Pastorals.

While a great chart, the language family tree has a number of strange flag choices, especially down in the Uralic section at 6:06. Many of the strange flag choices seem to be due to there just not being an official flag specifically for that language, but it is especially strange to me that they chose the flag of the Perm Kraj (connected only through the region of Ural that the whole family is named after) for the North Sámi language, instead of the existing Sámi flag, which while it is for the whole Sámi family is at least much more close to representing North Sámi.

There was a monarch for the 13 colonies, but it's a bit anachronistic to say that there was a monarch of the United States given that one of the core tenants of the american revolution was republicanism. Also although they had an empire, British monarchs during this period weren't allowed to proclaim themselves as emperors. By this point in history parliament was the dominant political force, and they didn't want the kings and queens to think they could exercise power over parliament by proclaiming themselves as emperors of Britain. Queen Victoria was however given the title of Empress of India during her reign, which lasted until the reign of George VI when India got independence in 1948.
