You people who think there were no Seahawks fans before they were good are all ridiculous. Do you think the fans of the Raiders or Buccaneers are being shown in the media right now? I sure haven't seen or heard a thing about them all year. Seahawks fans have waited so many years to celebrate our team being on top, and we're gonna be as loud as we want now that it's finally here. Am I saying there are no bandwagon Seahawks fans? No, of course there are. ALL NFL teams get bandwagon storms after winning a championship, especially after their very first one, but there are a huge amount of real fans too. I remember watching Seahawks games at the bar over the years. There were tons of fans that stayed for the entire game even though we lost miserably. But that's not a media story, there's nothing to write an article about when the Seahawks are in the bottom 5 every single year. Doesn't change the fact that we watched anyway, even when we were down by 30 points and kept hoping that maybe next year would be better. Real fans don't walk out of the game at third quarter just because it doesn't look good, and the handful of people that DID walk out of this year's NFC championship early weren't allowed back into the stadium (which is great lol). Yet look at how many fans were still there at the end, who didn't leave! So of course it seems like we came out of nowhere, our team is one of the newest in the NFL and the media wasn't gonna lose money talking about a losing team's fans. But whatever, go ahead and hate, we'll just get louder. EDIT: Congrats to the Patriots for a well played, well deserved win! That was a very rough loss, I'm still kind of mourning lol. But even so I just bought my "Seahawks NFC Champions 2 years in a row" shirt =) It was a great season, so NFC Championship shirt is the best way to celebrate the good and move on from the bad.

Joe Rackl Sure is great to see all these people who have clearly never been to Seattle talking about Seahawks fans. I remember marching in a Seahawks themed parade back in 2005 or 2006, when I was in the school band. I remember going into shops and seeing Seahawks stuff everywhere, and tons of people buying jerseys all throughout my childhood. I remember Seahawks themed bars, and random people in the streets wearing Seahawks jerseys even though we'd never been to the playoffs before. I remember a massive neon "Seahawks" sign on the side of building, facing the freeway sometime around 2009 or so. And no, fans don't just disappear, but they sure do quiet down when their team sucks. The Seahawks are one of the newest teams in the NFL, so trying to compare their fanbase to longtime teams like the Packers is plain stupid. The real fans stayed throughout the whole game and the fake ones left early. And yet not a single person left the bar I was at during the last Championship game? Only a handful of people left the stadium early (and weren't allowed back in I hear, which is awesome)? Sorry to break it to you, but the Seahawks don't have any more or less bandwagon fans than any other NFL team when they were the defending champions. We're apparently just louder about it. Sorry you don't like that =)

I live in Washington State, about 45 minutes south of Seattle. I've been a Seahawks fan since 1985. I can tell you that not ALL people in WA have no goddamn clue how to work their cell phone camera. I'm From Fresno California and I had never seen any Seahawk fans til 2012 all of the sudden you see them around... That is why they say that they are Bandwagoners .. Once they start losing they'll disappear again..
