Great video. Reala ace will be coming, in an update, to the x-s20, xhs2, and x-t5 summer 2024, as part of fuji anniversary celebration.

Guess I need a XS20 now to give my XH2S company haha. Seems like a very travel friendly camera.

Yes, but I think wait until next week when the XT50 is announce first, if that's overpriced then XS20 is the way to go XD

hey Ken, i’m currently using X-S20 and i was wondering is XH2s video recording capability way better than X-S20 ? in term of low lights and image quality, is X-S20 missing out alot ? Can you make a video about it if u can? ( btw i really love ur videos and i watch every single one of them before deciding to buy X-S20)
@kenyudoit Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, with what I know about the XH2s, the lowlight image quality is a bit better, probably one-stop cleaner, but is it worth double the XS20. For me, I know I will not be shooting Prores because of the file size, the 4k120 is good on paper but it only exists in high-speed recording, and has a 1.3x crop and no sound, so it might be an interesting comparison to make...

Great video Btw, im looking to switch to Fuji, do the film simulations work on video mode too?
@kenyudoit7 ай бұрын
film simulations work on video mode but it is not a 100% the same, some of the setting is taken away in video, for me the biggest down side is I cannot bake in the grain in video, but overall it works well if you don't want to colour grade.

Hey I really enjoyed your photography! Im completely new to the world of photography and videography but have a keen interest in it. I didn't have much time earlier but now I'll be joining university in Germany and will be traveling, so I'm thinking of buying a camera. I'm on a tight budget (500 euros for a used camera) and feeling a bit confused about which Fujifilm camera to choose. I've heard from one reviewer that the camera doesn't matter much, so I was considering the X-T20. However, I'm not sure if it's good enough for video as well. Can you provide some guidance or recommend a camera that would be suitable for me? I'm interested in Fujifilm because, as a beginner, I can experiment with their film recipes, and with time, I can learn more about color grading or editing. Also the lens you showed in this video will that be best for the X-T20 or the camera you recommend? Please guide me. Thanks

I think gear doesn't matter to a certain point, for photography, things are simpler, any recent camera can take good photos, the X-T20 will be great for photos. I started my journey a few years ago with a second hand sony A7ii... when I bought it my friend ask me why did i buy that trash... but I fully enjoyed it and learn a lot of the basic with that camera and the kit lens. After a year of learning with that camera I found a great deal and traded it in for a Fujifilm XT30 and that started my love with fuji and later this channel. So i think start with the Xt20, because of the popularity you can resell it without losing much value later down the line. for lenses, one problem with third party lens is their resell value, their price drop significantly on the second hand market, i would suggest to start out with one of the kit lens. In my experience the XF18-55 kit lens is one of the best lens in the fujifilm line up. I also tried the XC15-45 kit lens and I feel it is an underrated lens, I have a video on this lens waiting to be edited. I would actually say start with a zoom lens, just play around with it, shoot freely, after a while, look back that the photos you have and check which focal length you always shoot with and get a prime lens with that focal length. another recent to go with the kit lens to start with is the OIS, most of the budget camera from fuji doesn't have image stabilization, and you mention you want to try-out video too, so a lens with OIS will be very helpful. But there is one expectation you need to have for shooting video, because of the mobile phone, we are automatically expecting the video comes out of a camera to be very stable, can walkaround and shoot, but in reality the video will be much shakier than what we expect. My advice is to shoot video like you will shoot photo, stick to AFS not AFC, slow down, focus on composition, play around with the film simulation and enjoy the process of taking photos. I hope this is helpful 😁

so this basically imitates really well film cameras?

I can't tell for sure because I don't have much experience with film photography, but this film simulation certainly looks great

Did you add some special Setting or just use Nostalgic Negative and that it?
@kenyudoit Жыл бұрын
just Nostalgic Negative, everything else is the default setting.
@mex5341 Жыл бұрын
as i get it you only can use those Fuji recipes with auto video mode , right ?
@kenyudoit Жыл бұрын
In video, if you are not shooting in f-log/f-log2, you can use the film simulation in camera, you get most of the setting as photo mode, eg... tone curve, colour, sharpness, noise reduction, you just cannot add grain and chroma effect.
@mex5341 Жыл бұрын
@@kenyudoit yes, but you cannot adjust shutter and aperture… only auto mode
@mex5341 Жыл бұрын
