Great money. I recommend shooting your first one free or heavily discounted. Also check on fb to be a second shooter for someone experienced. There’s a lot to it and it’s a super long day

Man, your humor is on point, love it! I know there's no love for Nikon anywhere, and I love being a person that speaks up for 'em, because they have and are doing some things for cinematographers that make them a competitor. I won't use this to go into detail, but trust me, Nikon is COMING!

Thanks for the video, and thanks for sharing the footage. Beautiful images! Some random thoughts as I was watching through: -- Love how small and compact your whole setup is, especially including the cameras. The drone as well -- very portable. -- Thanks for tip re drone controller cover! Didn't know about that. -- "Maybe the DJ will let you plug in if he isn't a douche." That's a big maybe.... -- Brilliant recommendation on the Zoom F3 (or F6). Not just because people speak at different volumes, but because music levels vs speech levels. -- Knife -- what the hell are you cutting? And you use it every wedding?!?! I've occasionally had brides ask me for a pair of scissors to cut off some loose threads. And sometimes groomsmen have new suit jackets where you're meant to cut the "tacking stitch" at the back. But these happen very rarely.... (Edit: just yesterday I was at a wedding where I needed scissors, and didn't have one in my gear bag, though I had one in my car. So, I should have taken your advice. Reason for needing them: men's suits often come with the pockets loosely stitched to hold their shape; you're meant to cut the threads. I wanted to stick my new Sony TX660 recorder in the groom's front jacket pocket, but was thread-blocked. Maybe guys that have been using the Sony recorder for years have often faced this problem!) -- Bag recommendations. One thing I'm iffy on with bags is when they have lots of compartments. I think it's easy either to forget what you have, or forget where you've put it. -- I'm surprised and impressed you use ND filters. I used to use them, but then ran into annoying issues. Like, sometimes moisture collects between filter and lens. Or once I fumbled and smashed an expensive variable ND. In the end, I figured that the main time when I need an ND is outside, and that's usually only during the photoshoot (for the weddings I shoot anyway), so I can live with higher shutter for just that part of the day, and maybe it even adds to a sort of excited post-ceremony mood. -- DJI Wireless for audio.... Never used that type, but I've tried Rode Wireless Go, and I think they're crap, and I strongly suspect (sorry!) that the DJI ones are crap as well. There were lots of funny issues that cropped up for the Rode mics. Like: they operated on the 2.4GHz band, which can be crowded, so you either get interference or reduced distance. They were very sensitive to being overloaded; the mics didn't have a big dynamic range. And they could be thrown by being concealed behind an altar table, for instance -- they want line of sight. But I can see how having this style of audio device fits in with what I'm assuming is your whole compact-and-portable ethos.

At 11:20, what do you do with those tube lights at a wedding?
@TheEverythingMan Жыл бұрын
They’re great for pointing towards the dancefloor or on the couple when it’s time for the toasts .. you can throw them on a little stand or magnetize them to something metal
@aevoss Жыл бұрын
@@TheEverythingMan how do you point them to the dance floor? Both of my hands are on my camera. I wouldn’t put them on a stand, there’s too many people walking around and it’s a liability. If Iever set a stand up it’s only going to be up against the wall. I’ve yet to do that at a wedding in the last 29 years. I always have a light on my camera and it works. By the time I set up a light, I’ve missed the shot and I’m off shooting reactions then back to the couple. No time for extra lights and stands. Thanks 🙏🏼

Nothing in this video was sent to me for free besides the Rode wireless pro. I wish I got all these cameras and lenses for free. So don’t make stupid assumptions. Also, how do you think channels constantly have products to review? You think we go out and buy thousands of dollars worth of products for every review? Everyone gets sent products to review. It doesn’t mean that they aren’t honest reviews. Think before you post something so dumb.
