How nice it would be to have dinner with you at a place like that San Francisco home on a balcony with the fireplace on. Or nice afternoon out at a wine tasting. I have a wood burning fireplace in living room (and master bedroom) & during warm seasons I wrap around batterie farie lights around 3 logs & turn them on when room needs ambeous. I live in northeast Ohio & it can get cold & to see a snowfall & a woodburning fireplace makes it so beautiful & cozy.

I would love some tips on mixing metals. I am loving chrome these days but I still use a lot of black metal with a touch of aged brass. Just wondering how to accomplish being able to include more chrome pieces and if it’s even a good idea.

Nina- Thank you! Beautiful Dress.. What is your suggestion around putting runners on wood stairway - specific question is fabric (wool or something else), the bars to hold down the runner (do this or not), one color or a pattern. Overall our house is neutral in color, has allot of detailed moldings but still has the feel of a semi-modern home.

Yes pls, especially if this is a trend that will be out dated in time to come. I love herringbone but it seems more traditional and wonder if it will suit a modern organic interior look.

Hello Nina! I have a Custom Made concrete fireplace, sort of a sand concrete color. I am thinking of painting it an off white color, perhaps swiss coffee. I recommend to place a bed that has an actual headboard and put drapes in front of whatever the center of the wall is, additionally, put floor to seiling drapes behind your headboard covering your entire back wall. Thank you Kraichelle!
