My dishwasher has a shelf inside, I keep my sponge for dishes on this shelf. Hi Nina, loved the video. Two questions, 1: where is your long ring from and 2, if you’re a person like me who is freaked out by expiration dates, how do you manage this after taking items out of the box? This has prevented me from going for this type of organization even though I love it.
@NinaTakesh4 жыл бұрын
Very good questions. My ring is from a Djula. With regard to items taken out of the box I do agree that it is a little questionable because you do not know the expiration date, however sometimes I will add a sticker at the bottom of the canister where I write the expiration date for items that I don’t go through very quickly ❤️
@nataliebutler4 жыл бұрын
Most items have a 'best before' date, which means they are guaranteed to be at their best in terms of flavour, texture etc before then, however they may still be perfectly good after this date. Food that has a 'use by' date (for example meat) should use it by then, but for all other things, you can use your senses to tell if the food is good!

I really hope I get your reply. I think, cabinets are a real waste of time and space. Cause if someone is to enter kitchen all the time ( think Indians) then where is the time to constantly open and close drawers. Kitchen is like a workshop. We cannot afford to let function go away for aesthetics. So what is your take on open shelves?
@NinaTakesh4 жыл бұрын
There is a big part of me that loves open shelving but I also like it to look clean and organize. I think this can be done beautifully if you streamline everything and pick very clean items and design it in a beautiful way.
@Name2608124 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. I am in middle of reorganisation for the kitchen. Due to lockdown I see myself working in kitchen all the time. That’s when I realised to constantly run around and open and close cabinet doors and drawers is annoying after a point. I also formerly liked the concept of clean kitchen, but I am a convert now. I can see keeping things handy is so important. So, now we are restyling the kitchen to open shelves. I hope I don’t regret. At the moment I am stuck for inspiration, though there are quite a few KZbin videos on this. If someone like you can also post ideas for Open Shelves that will be fab. Thank you once again for taking time to reply, I didn’t expect it ☺️

TIP: Get uniform, empty cleaning containers, and put your cleaners in them. Green for all purpose, yellow for wood, blue for windows, and have your microfiber cloths follow the same color pattern. Or, get the glass with silicone containers, in all white, and label the bottom of the container. The cleaning drawer clutter is HORRENDOUS. I expect significantly better.
@NinaTakesh4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your tip. It’s a lo excellent one.
@AriannaAyers4 жыл бұрын
@@NinaTakesh Thanks, you may want to look into cleaning products from Blueland, which have beautiful uniform packaging that has been featured in Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Business Insider, etc., and they use solid tablet refills (to reduce the packaging associated with liquid refills), Grove Collaborative refillable glass containers, or dups from Savvy Planet (or the like) via Amazon, or Mrs. Meyers bottles in various colours. I like cleaning with chemicals, so I use the natural cleaners, keep the bottles, then refill from my Clorox, Windex, Lysol, 5 gallon containers. Buying 5 gallons at a time is a cost savings of 60%, compared to the price per ounce of individually packaged cleaning products.
