Thank you for showing the parks, we have a small piece of property just north of there off London Bridge across from The Refuge 👍 the views are incredible today! You said my word-when I went through Parker my first time I called it my “ Shangri-La” that is too funny!

🙋♀️ Hello Russ! First time to tour a Cactus Garden. I too, liked the purple-pinkish Pear Cactus. Loved the blue picnic tables. That campground will be as busy as that boat dock soon. Years ago I toured Cape Henry with my Husband & 2 Daughters. (We were staying in Virginia Beach, & drove over to Cape Henry via Chesapeake Bay Tunnel.) Really loved how the parks have plenty of benches for people to sit & gaze out over the Lake. So very inviting. You are good to find these wonderful inviting places to share with us. I won't know where to go 1st. hehe Have a nice day!👍

They've expanded this place since U was there a few years ago. Before it was just a straight dirt trail to a smaller dock and now it's alot larger and nicer.

I loved the cactus garden, particularly the purple prickly pear. Those cabins were interesting but not being able to cook inside was somewhat unusual if you were staying for more than overnight or a weekend. When I was a kid, my folks would rent a cabin for a week in a couple of lakes in the area. It seemed to take forever to drive there to a kid, but years later, we bought a house across the lake from one of the resort we stayed at. We commuted to town every day for work and it really wasn't that far!

Don't understand, living next to a lak e and have a pool?!
@Expressionistix3 жыл бұрын
A pool is clean the lake is fairly nasty. I lived in Havasu for 17 years. We had the incident of the brain eating amoeba that is found in the lake killing a small child - they tried to hush hush that story but it did go national. The lake has fairly warm water which allows for things like the amoebas to exist. Also after big weekends no one wants to touch the lake after what the tourists dump into it - the channel usually smells bad and beaches are full of trash.
@Lindasromperroom3 жыл бұрын
I would never swim in that lake!
