Hey guys quick update, I know a lot of you have already commented it here. But I also checked and yes Qatar and Etihad also give out extra luggage. Now the catch here is that if you are booking it with 3rd party websites for example student universe or make my trip there are chances that you wouldn't be eligible to access that offer. So best way to check this is call them and ask them what can be done for this. No. You have to register with qatar before booking the flight on their website and after that they give you a promo code which you have to use to gain the third bag allowance.

I think British airways beats all 3 gulf careers in terms of food and amenities as well as connections to the USA. Their partner American Airlines also connect to many other destinations from London. I think for the sake of convenience BA is the best. It also provides 69 free check in for students

Singapore airlines A350 is the best economy class product. Their food is business class level. Also you'll have a layover at changi, which is the world's best airport(just watch a yt vid about the airport) It's pretty cheap too

I got the special baggage policy from Ethiad as well when I came last year. So it was best - 3 check-in bags of 23 kg, 1 cabin bag of 7 kg, and 1 laptop bag

One more point, I don't know if it is relevant, but Qatar is the only airline that is SKYTRAX 5 star rated. Etihad is 4 star rated and Emirates is 3 star rated.

Aryaman Mishra I haven’t flown with them but personally I would prefer any Middle Eastern Carrier over the American/European one. Flight Attendants in Middle Eastern carriers are usually Indians, I am not sure if it’s due to implicit bias or airline policies, but those serving in Middle Eastern carriers are far more considerate and respectful.

Hi, Cathay Pacific is also good..... I recently traveled with Cathay Pacific from Hyderabad to Chicago via Hongkong and they served the bestesttttt food. I had previous experiences with Qatar and Etihad, and they cannot compare with Cathay Pacific food.... There was unlimited snacking (chocolates, drinks, cookies, peanuts, protein bars etc etc) available throughout the journey and quantity wise also they top the list. (Qatar has the worst food, they served me vegetable khichdi for breakfast🤯)

You can choose Middle Eastern airlines but Cathay Pacific is almost similar to the middle eastern airlines. The only thing you should consider is if Cathay Pacific provides you with 23kg extra baggage as a student. But overall all middle eastern flights and Cathay Pacific is equally good.

Yes Sudha, you are allowed to carry whatever food you would like. I always recommend students to carry food with them no matter if they are getting food in flight or not. I would say all are pretty similar. Carry a neck pillow with you, I think that's important.

@@naimishmaniya8382 brother I have booked Qatar yesterday, and after booking a flight from BOM to ROC, I got to know from a friend of mine that if we book a flight with QR registration, we will get all the benefits of student club. I had 2 options from JFK to ROC served by Jetblue. Both were same floghts but with different flight number one with jetblue registration(B6....) and one which costs about 500rs more, same JetBlue flight but with(QR....) registration.

I came from Turkish, the flight was at 5:45am in the morning I guess and 2 hours layover at Ataturk Airport Istanbul. The flight from Mumbai to Istanbul was pretty empty and I slept on the full 3 seats and from Istanbul to JFK NYC was jam-packed. They have the menu about what food is being served so there is no such difficulty as what to take and what not to. I think more or less every Economy class amenities kit is almost the same, It had a sleep mask, earplugs, socks, slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, and lip balm. P.S. Its world's largest single roof airport so just visit different shops and utilize your layover time as much as you can just don't stand waiting for your flight. The above point is for everyone who ever is reading the comment and carry a neck pillow, chill the F out and Congrats to all who got their visas and All the best to others! Welcome to the US.
